A Great Stay in the Perfect Location
The Old Exchange is in the perfect location in centre of the beautiful village of Corbridge. A spacious living room, well-stocked kitchen and en-suite rooms made it perfect for a family reunion. The owner couldn't be more helpful and welcoming as well.

Luxury and convenience
A beautiful place to stay! The Old Exchange is in the heart of Corbridge and a convenient short walk to cafes and restaurants. The property is beautifully maintained and well set out. As a family of four we were spoilt with 3 ensuite bathroom/shower rooms, no need for turn-taking on this holiday! There was always plenty of hot water and several clean, fluffy towels for each person. The kitchen facilities were great, enough to cook a full roast Christmas lunch. The beds were large and the central heating made the whole place cosy. The lounge room contained an arm chair and 2 large settees, more than enough room for winter evenings in front of the tv. The wifi worked well and added to the convenience of our stay. Located opposite the lovely St Andrew’s church, we had a wonderful view of the Christmas lights. John was a friendly, knowledgeable host, even arranging for a mid-stay clean of the property which was very thoughtful. We would definitely recommend this property as an ideal stay in an ideal location.

A very comfortable base to explore the area.
We picked the Old Exchange because our daughter is studying classics at university and wanted to visit all the places she had learned about in relation to Hadrian's Wall. The owner is incredibly welcoming and when we needed the code for the washing machine, he responded to our message almost immediately. The rooms are tastefully decorated and there is plenty of space for a family to relax. The only negative point is that the garden cannot be accessed directly from the property and you have to go out the front door and around the side of the building. This would not stop us from returning at a later date, however.

Excellent place to stay
Can't add a lot regarding this comfortable, well located property. More than enough room for a couple. We've stayed at four different places in Corbridge and this was the most comfortable. The owner, John, was very helpful, has great knowledge of the surrounding area and local history. We'd definitely book this place again. Thanks Steve and Angela

Excellent week at The Old Exchange
Can highly recommend this accommodation as a base for exploring the many attractions in this part of the world. In the middle of historic Corbridge, the apartment is very close to all the facilities you will need for your stay including shops, cafes and restaurants. A wider range of supermarkets and shops can be found in nearby Hexham. Having off-street parking is a real bonus as Corbridge can get very busy. The apartment is spacious with comfortable beds and three en-suite rooms, a well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. Great place to stay and would certainly consider staying there again.

Lovely stay
We had a lovely stay at The Old Exhange. The apartment was spotless, all bedrooms were a great size, two with en suite and one with its own bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped. Communication with John was easy. Great apartment in heart of Corbridge. Walking distance to everything.

Perfect accommodation in a perfect village
We never know what to expect when booking holiday accommodation but we are quite fussy, we had no need to worry with The Old Exchange, the property was clean, warm and comfortable, the beds are firm, with excellent mattresses and the white cotton sheets and covers were spotless, perfect with unmarked under sheets to boot. 3 En-suite bedrooms, master with bath and 2 good size doubles with en-suite shower rooms, so if like us, you arrive with 3 generations of family, then everyone has their own space and privacy. Kitchen was well equipt with all you need for home catering and a decent dishwasher to clean up when finished, washer dryer provided as well if you have any need to clean your clothes etc. The owner lives in Corbridge, where The old Exchange is located and is on hand if ever you need him. The village it self is like a step back in time, with a butchers, baker, green grocer, Co-op supermarket, Post office/ Newsagents, numerus Pubs and cafes, Lovely old Church, even a petrol filling station, all on the River Tyne some 13 odd miles from Newcastle. Totally unspoiled, Not often we say this but we truly intend to contact the owner with the view to return.

Awesome apartment!
Three gorgeous en-suite double bedrooms is as good as it normally gets - but this place also has a fourth toilet. The lounge is large yet cosy. The kitchen is immaculate and convenient. Spaces for two cars at the rear. It proved ideally placed to benefit from all that Corbridge has to offer - we enjoyed time in The Valley, Il Piccolo, The Black Bull and the Pele Tower Pub (a marvel). We also found it well placed to visit Hexham, Chesters, Housesteads and Cragside. Owner John was extremely helpful and communicative. Our three-night stay felt a bit too short.

Home from home
We had a fantastic week here with our two children (3 and 5) over half term. Very reasonably priced, good facilities (well equipped kitchen, washing machine, drying rack, dishwasher, hairdryer) and a friendly, knowledgeable host. It was very useful having the coop next door and so many great takeaways, cafes and pubs within walking distance. Corbridge itself is a beautiful village but we also used it as a base for visiting the coast, Newcastle and Hadrian’s wall. We will definitely be booking again! Thanks John

Ideal position.
This property is exactly as advertised -everything you could possible need The parking for 3 cars is a bonus. It's central position in the middle of the lovely village of Corbridge is ideal with good bus and rail links if you don't want to use the car everyday and plenty of pubs and eateries. There are numerous interesting places to visit close by and we were out everyday. There was only one down side and that was as the week went on we began to notice that it wasn't as clean as you would expect but it didn't effect our time there. Thank you to Mr Henderson who managed to find us in mid week!-very knowledgeable about the area and friendly.
