The kitchen provides a double oven with electric hob, washing machine, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave along with a dining table seating up to four guests. The lounge is off to the left of the hallway and provides a comfortable sofa and two armchairs so that everyone can relax around the wood burning stove after their adventures in the hills. There is a TV with Freesat, DVD, selection of books and a wooden chess set for entertainment should guests tire of the view across the Loch. The bright and airy shower room is located at the end of the hallway and provides a large shower cubicle, w.c., wash hand basin and heated towel rail. Leading on from the lounge are the double and twin bedrooms, both enjoying stunning views across Loch Eynort. The master bedroom offers a Kingsize bed, attractive furnishings and a wooden love seat under the window - a great place to enjoy the scenery from or relax with a book! The hallway off the twin bedroom leads to a stable door that opens out onto the waterfront for a gentle stroll. After a day spent exploring the hills and forest or enjoying nearby Glenbrittle Beach, mountain bikes can be safely stored away in the byre. The garden has a stream running along its edge and is fully enclosed with a bench seat providing the perfect spot to sit, admire the surrounding views and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is ample off road parking to the side Shepherd's Cottage. Shepherd's Cottage and its gardens are located within working croft land (which means passing a rather large bull when driving up to the property!) - the owner therefore asks that all gates are left as they are found.More

I've needed a place to escape city life and couldn't have asked for anything better! A cozy cottage that's exactly what you need after a long day walking or a quiet day indoors in a pristine location of striking natural beauty.

A good alternative to the busy Glen Brittle. No camper vans on the glen road, no tourists looking for places to park and spend money. Just sheep and cattle beyond the garden/ parking area. And an otter on the shore just past the ruined church....More

Thank you for your review and how lovely that you were lucky enough to see an otter close by! We are however a little puzzled that you only awarded Shepherds Cottage one point? We would very much like to know the reasons for this low...More

This is about as far away from everything as you can get! The gorgeous little cottage is at the end of a single-track lane on working croft land, and has the most stunning views out over the loch. Adequately modern inside, it was clean and...More
