Beware if you book the Stables as it has a glass roof and gets very hot. We booked for a week but ended up leaving after 3 days. With the Aircon working it was so noisy you couldn't hear yourself think and certainly not able to hear TV. We were looking forward to our first holiday in 12 years just to relax and read books etc but was unable to stay in because of the heat. Dogs were too hot and this was before the heatwave really started. If we had known about the roof we would not have booked. Like being in a greenhouse. Only found out when we arrived.

The cheese ,plum bread and fresh flowers aswell as the milk and hot drink selection was amazing and just made you feel spoilt even a bed and dog bowl for dalton. The beds were so comfy the hot tub was amazing everything was amazing we shall be back next year the receptionist was very helpful and friendly thanks to all xx

The family spent a few days in the farmhouse - what a gem of a place! Well equipped, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Beds were so comfortable with top quality bedding. Hot tub was maintained and towels changed regularly - so lovely to relax in when the little ones were in bed! Play area was also a hit with the kids and very safe. Complimentary local plum breads and cheese were delicious. David, Karen, Josh and the team were always on hand and very helpful with any queries we had. Thank you. 10 min walk to pubs, Co-op, etc in Burch village. Great meal in Fleece Inn. Will definitely recommend to anyone interested in staying at Jockhedge and we’ll try and visit again soon as it was a perfect retreat after a very weird year!!!

We stayed for a week, 7 adults and 4 children and couldn’t have needed anymore for a comfortable week away. The farm house was well stocked with everything you could have needed and was spotless throughout. If anything the pictures to advertise the property doesn’t do it justice. Close to all local amenities which was really good also, having a good butchers, Co-op and restaurant which also delivered to the house, the food was cracking. We will be back in the near futures, our kids loved the park and fishing lake. Just what we needed after thinking we’d not get away this year due to COVID-19. Thanks for having us.

We had three generations of our family staying in this wonderful house for the week. We particularly loved the very large, light-filled dining room perfect for all those family meals in (Covid -19!) and the ample garden where we spent a lot of time tie-dying, doing yoga, enjoying a barbecue and just relaxing! Not wanting to be near crowds at this time, the location was ideal as we were near to country walks and quiet beaches at Anderby Creek and Sutton on Sea. We also visited Natureland Seal Sanctuary which does and amazing job caring for rescued seals and we had a walk around Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve. Plenty to do without having to venture into touristy Skegness. A perfect base and a wonderful holiday!

This place is a fantastic location with great surroundings for a peaceful, relaxing break. We have just celebrated a big birthday gathering of family and friends utilising the farmhouse and a couple of the barns. Every accomodation is spotless and kitted out to the highest spec. A hot tub is located in a separate building at the back of the farmhouse and is a great place to connect your chill out music and relax for a while. Anderby Creek is just a 15 minute drive away to a great beach without the madness of the Skegness rides and arcades. However if you want a bit of madness that's just 5 mile down the road. Burgh le Marsh has a great restaurant, "The Windmill", a few pubs to choose from and local shops if you've forgot something. The hosts go out of their way to make your stay a memborable one and are on hand to accomodate any special requests you may have.

We stayed this week for 4 nights and even with one of my renowned sarcastic comments after being told we had been upgraded “ we are in skeggy it can’t be an upgrade “ the owner replied as quick as a flash “ you are not in skeggy you are in burgh so that’s an upgrade “ it certainly is a very very well family run site . Well maintained , excellent facilities in the cottage and even after an incident with unwelcome visitors the owners dealt with it quickly and professionally they could honestly do no more . The site is perfectly placed to visit local sites and beaches etc. Please book and support these owners I just hope they don’t grow to big . Regards The Matthews Family from Nottingham

Jockhedge Farmhouse is fantastic! Our party consisted of 11 people ranging in age from 1 to 67, and one dog. The house provided everything we could have wanted and more besides. Cot and stairgates for the baby, TV and DVDs for the children, excellent wifi for the older children and a superbly equipped kitchen for the 'chef'! The large dining room accommodated us all comfortably for meals together and there were enough quiet spaces for Granny to get a break from the children! The bedrooms were spacious and well appointed and the bathrooms were very clean with lovely soft towels and bathrobes. The enclosed garden was very safe for the children and dog and the hot tub was an additional bonus. All in all, it made for a perfect family weekend and was much enjoyed by everybody.

About the neighbourhood
There are many beaches within a short drive, not just Skegness. Burgh Le Marsh offers many dog and child friendly pubs and restaurants, a local Co-Op and Spar, a butcher, a baker, a hairdresser to name but a few local places.
Getting around
There is a local bus route and we can provide details on local taxi firms too. Skegness, just 5 miles away, also provides a train station should you wish to use it.
