We stayed at the cottage over the bank holiday weekend and it was lovely. Kate snd Carlos are brilliant hosts and went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay a success. They were so helpful when a last minute hitch complicated our plans but Kate came to the rescue and we can’t thank her enough. Cottage is very clean, has all the amenities and is in a good location. Lots of games for family playtime but I now realise that Twister isn’t for me anymore! Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Lovely quiet cottage in the heart of the countryside - it was great to wake up to birdsong! Clean, spacious living area (we were 4 adults), plenty of towels, good shower. (Also a hot tub but the weather was too hot for us to use it). You do need a car as it's not near the shops but it's very handy for Galway city and we also went swimming at Silver strand, a lovely white sandy beach a couple of kilometres away. We were visiting relatives and touring the area and it's a great base for lots of day trips not just in county Galway but also Mayo and Clare. Kate the owner was very friendly and helpful and quick to answer any queries we had. We had a great stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay here; Kate and Carlos were absolutely lovely hosts, kind, friendly and very helpful.  The cottage is immaculate; it is extremely well equipped and has everything you need during your holiday stay.     All the bedrooms were very well presented and the bathroom was lovely and clean too.  The whole cottage was spotless.   Kate was so kind, she knew my wife was disabled and even left out some special disability aids for me when we arrived.      I thought  that was such a thoughtful and caring gesture and her kindness was very appreciated by us. We had an excellent stay here, the cottage is in a great location for touring the Galway coast and Connemara. Plus it is only 6km on from Galway City itself.  So  you have the best of both worlds, Galway is close at hand, plus you have the benefit of being in the beautiful Irish countryside with spectacular beaches right on your doorstep! The cottage is just over a minute's drive down into the village of Barna and the coastal road, so it's really convenient.   Our family felt very comfortable and at home here, so for us it was the perfect accommodation.  We would would highly recommend this cottage for a holiday stay and Kate and Carlos as your hosts.   It's a 10 out of 10 from us!

This was our second trip to the Galway area. We chose Barna because it's much quieter than Galway City or the Salthill area. The cottage is in a nice quiet country setting. Kate was great in answering any questions and greeted us with tea and bread when we first arrived. The cottage is equipped nicely with all the amenities you need for your stay. The location gets you into the Connemara region quickly and Galway city is a short drive away! We visited the Klyemore Abbey and was well worth the drive. There's also some nice restaurants and beaches in the Barna area. Check out Donnelly's Pub right in Barna for good food and a nice cold pint! Kate was very cordial during our stay and you'll enjoy the area.
