A very warm welcome to Isfryn from your hosts Steve and Linda. Isfryn forms a completely self-contained property sleeping 2 adults, separated by 3ft thick walls of slate from Ty Hebron, the adjoining former Methodist chapel, which is now our home. Isfryn was built in the 1870s as a home for the chapel minister. We bought it in June 2015. It has been newly renovated over the past 6 months and we were delighted to open it for visitors in Spring 2016.

Renovating this cottage has been a very happy experience, which we hope is reflected in its cheerful and welcoming interior. It offers cosy and comfortable accommodation for two adults.

To make you feel at home from the moment you arrive, you will be greeted by a welcome basket of goodies, many of which will be home-made by us.

In the living room, the most prominent feature is an open hear...

Interaction with guests
We live in the former chapel which is attached to the cottage, but separated by 3ft thick walls of slate! The cottage is entirely self contained. The fact that we live next door means that we will be here to welcome you and hand over your keys, and will always be on hand of you'd like any advice about the area or have anything else thing you'd like help with. We're equally happy if you'd just like to call in for a cuppa! Otherwise, we'll leave you in peace and privacy to enjoy your break.

A gorgeous cottage which is like a perfect little home, a lot of thought has gone into how the place looks and the amenities are excellent - truly everything has been thought of. From a welcome hamper with amazing homemade treats to the pristine waffle robes in the wardrobe, to the candles and dining table all set up for you,...

This is a wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. The owners have thought of everything. The home made warm bread, homemade cake and preserves, etc. made a very welcoming pack. Everything is well designed and the log burner a definite winner. The village has some easy walks on your doorstep and the views are outstanding. The bonus is the various...

About the neighbourhood
Aberangell and the surroundings are part of the Unesco Dyfi Biosphere on account of the unique landscape, wildlife and culture of the area. There are hills, mountains and valleys aplenty to walk, the beaches of Tywyn and Barmouth (to mention just a couple) are nearby. t's a lovely area, and much quieter and less-discovered than the Snowdon area to the North.
