Shustoke, Warwickshire, England
Ideally situated for the NEC, Resort World, golfing (The Belfry, Forest of Arden and Maxstoke), and a variety of outdoor pursuits (e.g. sailing, cycling, walking). The Lodge is an immaculately refurbished cottage set in the secure courtyard of Dovehouse Farm, which is a Grade II listed estate dating back to the 14th century, located in wonderful countryside just outside the village of Shustoke in North Warwickshire. Luxuriously appointed, the accommodation includes an open plan kitchen (including washing machine and dishwasher), dining and sitting area with TV/DVD downstairs, and a double bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Outside, there is a sitting area within the private gated courtyard, which offers ample parking. There is also a secluded kitchen garden with decked BBQ area, and a small children's play area. About the neighbourhood
Shustoke is an ancient village in Warwickshire, recorded in The Great Survey of 1086 (Domesday Book) as “Scotescote.” The parish registers are some of the earliest in the country, dating from the reign of Henry VIII, and include entries in the handwriting of Sir William Dugdale, who was born on Shawbury Lane and is widely regarded as the country’s first and greatest antiquarian. Today, Shustoke retains its village character, in a quiet and beautiful rural setting close to Coton Lakes and Ladywalk Nature Reserve as well as other areas of natural interest off the beaten track.
For the business traveller, Shustoke is just a short drive from key Midlands venues such as the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and The Belfry conference centre. Hams Hall Business Park and Birmingham Business Park a...
