About the neighbourhood
Spark Bridge is a quiet village standing on the banks of the River Crake on the southern peninsular of the British Lake District between Coniston and Windermere Lakes. The history of the area is rich in local industry and the cottages on the Row were once home to workers who were employed by the local Bobbin Mill in the 18th and 19th centuries. The village is surrounded by glorious countryside and provides easy access to numerous walks and trails as well as a convenient spot to explore the Morecambe Bay Estuary and Cumbrian Coastline.
