Holiday Rental House
Raasay Cottage is a stunning 19th Century barn conversion located in Camusdarach on the West Coast of Scotland, near the villages of Arisaig, Morar and Mallaig. It is a prime holiday location within easy reach of Skye and the Small Isles, Ben Nevis, Aviemore and the Cairngorms, Loch Ness and Britain’s most remote pub at Inverie, Knoydart. Once you’ve arrived you simply won’t want to leave. The cottage is part of Cross Farm which is nestled only a short walk across the road from the amazing Camusdarach beaches (made famous by the films ‘Local Hero’ and ‘Highlander’). The cottage sleeps 4 with one double and one twin bedroom, and has everything you need for a hassle free holiday, including wifi, DVD player, washing machine, microwave and wood burning stove. ...Raasay Cottage is a stunning 19th Century barn conversion located in Camusdarach on the West Coast of Scotland, near the villages of Arisaig, Morar and Mallaig. Lovely traditional cottage. We stayed during December so it was the perfect winter weekend get away from the city. Walks on the beach during the day and the lovely stove on at the house in the evening. Fully equipt kitchen and board games too.

About the neighbourhood
The cottage is located on the coastal road between Arisaig and Morar/Mallaig. There are many beautiful beaches along this road and coastal walks. Traigh golf course is nearby and the ferry can be caught to the islands from Mallaig and Arisaig. There are lovely cafes and gift shops in both villages. Loch Morar is a beautiful drive/walk to name but a few.
Getting around
A car is recommended in order to make the most of the area, although there is a bus that goes along the coastal road right past the cottage (Shiel Buses) and there is a train station nearby if you wanted to come on the famous 'Harry Potter' West Highland Line. There are two taxi's in the area which are available by pre-booking and the numbers are in the welcome guide.
