The interior of this South of France beach house is very spacious and is laid out over a single floor. The dramatic roof line at the front of the house provides welcome shade on the terrace and is also designed to keep the inside of the beach house cool during the summer. This beach house is ideally located 300 meters from the beach and provides very comfortable accommodation for your stay.
The open plan living room contains a lounge, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and microwave. The kitchen has direct access out onto the terrace. The lounge contains a sofa and two rattan armchairs. The circular glass dining table can seat 4-6 people. The living room contains air conditioning (reversible), Wifi and Flat screen TV with satellite channels.
There are 3 bedrooms in total, all of which come with air conditioning and French windows leading out to the terrace and garden. The master bedroom contains a double bed and en suite bathroom with walk-in shower, hand basin and separate toilet. French windows provide direct access onto a private terrace with outside shower (useful for removing sand from your feet) and patio chairs. Bedrooms 2 comes with twin beds (which can be converted into a king size double bed). Bedroom 3 has twin beds. These bedrooms share the family bathroom which contains a shower, wash basin and toilet.
Outside: this beach house in South France is located on a private road with direct access to the beach. The beach is just 300m away and the excellent Les Vagues beach restaurant (one of the best beach restaurants in the Languedoc) is just 500m away. The house is situated in a large garden, mainly laid to lawn, with some mature trees. You feel like you are in the middle of the country, yet the shops, restaurants and promenade of Grau d'Agde are just a short walk away. The Mediterranean sea and beach are 1 minutes walk from this Grau d'Agde beach house rental. It is also 5 minutes walk to the Herault River with waterfront restaurants. The village shops have everything you could need - 2 bakers, 2 mini markets, 2 cashpoints, 2 newsagents -selling newspapers in most languages, a hardware store, a newsagent, fish monger, butcher, pharmacy and wine cellar, all of which are open all year. From April to October there is a small daily market in Grau d'Agde and also a large weekly one. There are 2 Hypermarket complexes, both within 10 mins drive.
Getting around
Beziers & Montpellier have smart shops with a wide variety of goods. The village has 15-20 Bars, Restaurants, Pizzerias, Creperies and ice cream bars. There are a few more restaurants across the river on the Tamarrisiere reached via little ferry boats. It is only 5 mins walk to 2 of the best family beaches in the area. One in Le Grau d'Agde, the other via a little ferry trip across the river to the Tamarissiere beach. A variety of other local beaches at Cap d'Agde, Vias or Marsellian Plage are 10 - 20 mins drive away.
The Herault River is 5 mins walk and you can walk along the riverbank into the old town of Agde (20 mins walk) where you will also find the Canal du Midi. There is an 18 hole golf course in Cap d'Agde (10 mins drive).
