Willow Cottage has a comfortable home from home atmosphere and provides all the equipment required for a comfortable, cosy escape. There are 2 double bedrooms, the master with King size bed and en-suite bathroom, complete with roll top bath; a further family bathroom
with shower/steam cubicle is located on the ground floor; the bespoke oak fitted kitchen is complete with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, cooker and microwave, scales and baking utensils/accessories plus iron and ironing board. A separate utility houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.
The cosy living room has patio doors to the outside with a table and chairs for enjoying the sun and for cooler evenings the log burner set in original inglenook fireplace soon brings warmth and cheer. The original beam over the fireplace is complete with Apotropaic symbols used in the 16th and 17th Century to ward off evil spirits; the atmosphere in the Cottage confirms the success of this tradition as it wraps itself around you with a promise of a relaxing peaceful stay! There is a separate dining room and the unusually high ceilings for a cottage of this age give a light airy feeling; perfect for 4 people although a 5th person could be accommodated on the comfy feather sofa! The original staircase in this property is narrow and steep which makes it unsuitable for those will mobility difficulties. Stair gates and a travel cot can be provided for people with young children. All set in a tranquil rural setting with a lovely big garden, adjoining field and lake
where fishing and swimming can be enjoyed.

For once we picked a good week weather wise, although I don't think it would have made any difference.
Had an absolutely fabulous week, the cottage was perfect and central to so many wonderful locations.
