Welcome, St Mawgan is situated in the beautiful Lanherne Valley within 2 miles of Cornwalls spectacular coastline. Little Ramwood is nestled in a quiet country lane yet only 2 mins walk down into the village with its award winning traditional inn/restaurant, tea rooms, village stores, antique shop, gift/local crafts shop, general stores/post office and the Bonsai gardens. We have a beautiful church and the carmelite monastry with an enchanting chapel. All this is dotted around the village green bounded by the lanherne river.

Being just 1.5 miles from the sea at Mawgan Porth we are perfectly situated for the beach, sea or some of the fantastic walks that this coastline has to offer, in fact there is a pathway that takes you through the valley and woods right to Mawgan Porth which has lovely amenities and a beautiful beach. What a lovely little cottage . It is based in a quaint village with a brilliant pub. The cottage is traditional and has all the amenities you need. Would defiantly recommend this. 😊

We arrived early morning which we were thankful for. The cottage although small has everything you need. We found that having no control of the heating a bit of a problem, this was because the thermostatically controlled radiator valves didn't work properly thus making it...More

About the neighbourhood
St Mawgan is renowned within Cornwall as being one of the most attractive 'back in time' villages we have. The village green plays host to many attractions throughout the year as does the16th century village Inn 'The Falcon' which has a fantastic restaurant and beautiful gardens. Being so close to the coast, a leisurely stroll through the woods and valley to the beach at Mawgan Porth is a must. The village itself has a lovely tearoom serving luscious home made cakes, pastries and jams as well as home cooked pasty's. St Mawgan is only 2 miles from Watergate Bay - the home of Jamie Olivers 15 restaurant - and only 8 miles from the quaint fishing harbour of Padstow where acclaimed chef Rick Stein has numerous restaurants and shops....well worth a visit.
