Wildewood is hidden away behind electronic gates up a tree lined avenue.
Climbing roses adorn the cottage walls.
The patio is an absolute sun trap, with its beautiful flowerbeds and pots of flowers, when in season raspberries, mint for a Pims or two!
Figs adorn the wall opposite the cottage in Sept/October.
The Cottage is surrounded by fields, rolling hills and the Wicklow mountains, the beach is 2 km from the cottage also sea shore fishing and fishing competitions. A lovely walk south along the shore one can walk to Wicklow town!
One can listen to the heavenly morning 'chorus'there is no where quite like it!! If it is a lovely day the birds sing all day!
The Cottage has double glazed windows throughout, it has full oil fired central heating and has a very high standard of insulation. It is fully alarmed.

Interaction with guests
Family members are always at hand for our guests when the booking is complete. We will try to accommodate those who travel on different days other then Saturdays. We will accommodate those who arrive early or late due to flights etc., we will run through all the amenities. There is a folder in the Cottage that suggests where to go and what to see, where to eat in Co. Wicklow, where to shop etc., just in case we have a Doctor on hand. (We are always on hand, just ask)

We rented this cottage in Aug for a fly by visit! The owners are amazing and picked off fresh figs, and were kind enough to collect some groceries for us. The kitchen was well utilised and was fabulous as were the washing utilities. Rooms, Beds...More

Boswell equestrian centre 2 mins. Bel-Air the oldest riding establishment in Ireland. 8mins
The pretty village of Ashford is 2km from the cottage with the world famous Mount Usher Gardens. Run by Avoca hand weavers restaurants, and delicatessen. Lovely small courtyard of shops and one can sit have lunch. Hunter's hotel is 1.6km & is the oldest Coaching Inn in Ireland a beautiful country hotel with exquisite gardens run by the same family for generations. Wicklow a golfers paradise! Race courses, Punchestown, The Curragh home of the Irish Derby, Leopardstown , all within easy reach.
Glendalough 'Monastic site,' Ireland's Ancient East. 20mins. Kilmacurragh Botanical gardens 15mins
Getting around
A car is essential, there is a bus from Dublin it stops in the village and there is also an airport bus. The main railway station is in Wicklow 9 km from here. There is the dart station in Greystones that will take you into Dublin and returns to Greystones then one can get the train to Wicklow.

There is also a light air craft field in Newcastle about 4km from here. 10 mins by car.

Travelling from Dublin. Dublin Wexford motorway M50/M11 Junction 15 drive across motorway bridge (N11) second turn off roundabout sign posted R764, Roundwood. Keeping gate lodge on your left drive up this country rd. as the road narrows ( no distance from the roundabout) 2nd entrance on right black iron gates with intercom. Tree lined avenue.
