Conchita House is located in a beautiful rural setting, the neighbourhood of El Rincón de Tenteniguada in Valsequillo Gran Canaria municipality. This House was built at the end of the 19th century, being the family home in the neighborhood known as the spinner Conchita the Vizcaina. At the end of the 1990s was conducted a renovation of the same, without degrading its walls of original stone and its wooden ceiling covered with French tiles, adapted the House to all comforts, in order to adapt it to the present time.

El Rincón de Tenteniguada El Rincón de Tenteniguada is a district of the municipality of Valsequillo, village located in the Midlands of Gran Canaria, which sits in a fertile valley with an altitude that is around 600 m above sea level and is surrounded by mountains that over 1600 m. The volcanic nature of Gran Canaria is evident in the rock formations that emerge abruptly, as well as the sinking of the ground of the boilers.
Tenteniguada basin is located in the eastern sector of the island. This basin has a semicircular headboard and is drained by the Barranco de San Miguel, Barranco de la Plata, the Mocanes Tenteniguada, La Coruña and the chaplaincy.
The relatively humid climate and the abundance of springs cover the geography of Valsequillo, and dotted around it with the pop of color of bloom, covering according to the species from December to June, highlighting the flowering of the almond trees that stain pink and white throughout the Valley in February. In this area there are hundreds of varieties of plants, many endemic of Canary, exclusive of the island with the place. Among fauna include birds of prey such as the booted Eagle and Kestrel, which always accompany the visitor of the summits.
The vegetation in the surroundings of El Rincón de Tenteniguada is spectacular, is important to the large number of aromatic plants, salvias, daisies and poppies, but above all the variety of endemic species, of which the famous Woody may flower (Pericallis hadrosoma), one of the rarest Canary species of the genus, and confined between the cliffs of the Roque and Tenteniguada and of course the blue Tajinaste de Tenteniguada (Echium callithyrsum) This last particularly abundant in this area.
Valsequillo in particular El Rincón de Tenteniguada is a paradise for hiking and other sports as the careers of mountain bike, climbing, excursions to horse and all kinds of outdoor activities.
Products and handicraft among the local products of the place stand out the honey that is produced here since ancient times and all its derivatives, strawberries of which Valsequillo is the largest producer in Gran Canaria, other fruits such as cherries that stand out in the area, plums in all its varieties, almonds and citrus. The wines, finding in Valsequillo artisanal wineries such as La Cantera, cheese, award-winning worldwide, the dairies that breed their flocks in the corner, as it is the case of the large Roque dairy.
In El Rincón de Tenteniguada we also found a stronghold only in the island, where abundant Island traditional knowledge, through the preparation of various craft products that perform original elements such as the Canary Island traditional embroidery, wool yarn; the making of fabrics with loom; the works of cane, Wicker, iron, wood, rye and palma.
