Toad Hall is a charming wooden house situated 5 minutes from the beach in the village of Castara, Tobago. There is a large living area with 2 couches & coffee tables. There is a comprehensive kitchen along one side of the main room with gas cooker/oven, microwave and large fridge/freezer. There are plenty of pots & pans for cooking and storage space for foodstuffs. There is a TV/DVD and stereo system. There is a large bathroom with heated shower & shelf space for cosmetics etc. The master bedroom has a fitted wardrobe, safety deposit box & telephone. There is also a second bedroom in the upstairs mezzanine suitable either for adults or children. There is no air-conditioning but fans are provided throughout for your comfort. Contrary to the previous review we stayed very comfortably with three Adults in Toad Hall. The mezzanine floor does have very low ceilings and doesn't really have much space to do anything other than sleep, but this was fine for our needs and the rest...More

Castara is a quiet, scenic village on the north coast of the island of Tobago. It`s economy is centred around its fishing industry and tourism. There are several restaurants and a coiuple of traditional 'rum shops' for eating out and entertainment. There are two beaches: The 'big bay' and the 'small' or 'heavenly' bay. There is a coral reef offshore from the small bay suitable for snorkelling and both bays offer a sheltered environment for swimming or just relaxing in the tropical sunshine. There are regular bus services that pass through the village in either direction and tickets can be purchased at various locations at the small shops in the village.
