Holiday Rental House
The 200 year old house has been restored to a high modern standard but still retains many traditional canarian features including balconies, wood floors, window seats and wooden roofs. A unique enclosed balcony and the first floor spacious lounge (with its french windows leading to a 'Romeo and Juliet' balcony) offer spectacular views of the bay of Santa Cruz and the mountains behind. With a large well-equipped kitchen, dining room with log-burning stove, four double bedrooms, two en suites and a large family bathroom, the villa is ideal for a relaxing family holiday. Eight of us (4 couples) went for a 10 day winter break to La Palma to relax, explore and spend some days just walking. The weather was probably not as good as we would have liked but was sunny (if not warm) most days -...More

Ideal location for a get away from it all holiday, with family and friends.Lots of rustic charm and character all around the villa. Super views towards Santa Curz from the conservatory. Housekeeper could not do enough to help and advise. Car is defiantly required.

About the neighbourhood
Your villa is accessed down a quiet country lane in the hamlet of Miranda. This ensures you will have complete privacy and tranquility. You will be living among local people and be able to enjoy the relaxed pace of the island with its frequent fiestas and celebrations. Each of the local villages has its own programme of festivals and events.<BRWalking is one of the main attractions of the island and walking routes are well marked and signposted. A number of local walks pass close to the villa. San Pedro is a short drive away (or a 20 minute walk) with its restaurants, bars, shops and cafes. The capital Santa Cruz with its colonial buildings, pedestranised cobble streets and maritime parade is only a 20 minute drive away. So too is the beach resort of Los Cancajos with restaurants, cafes, ...
How to get there
There are currently a number of direct flights to La Palma from European cities. If you are travelling from the UK Thomsonfly run weekly direct flights from London Gatwick and in the winter months operate additionally from Manchester. It is possible to get to the island indirectly via Tenerife or Gran Canaria or Madrid using frequent internal flights. The owner will be happy to adviise on these and arrange flights. We would recommend a local car hire company which has competetive rates and which will mean you will avoid queues on arrival and they will also escort you to the villa. The owner can provide you with the hire rates and arrange a booking.
