Located on the outskirts of the charming village of Karavados, the Villa is very modern, fully air conditioned with a private pool. Within a few minutes’ drive lies a superb selection of beautiful sandy beaches and traditional Greek Tavernas. The ground floor provides spacious open plan living accommodation with comfortable lounge and dining area along with a fully equipped modern kitchen. There is a downstairs loo and patio doors lead out to a ground floor balcony at the front and the private pool and sun area at the rear. A marble staircase leads to the first floor, where the three bedrooms are situated. The Master bedroom has a double bed, sea and mountain views and is ensuite with a bath/shower and feature porthole window. A second bathroom has a shower and bedrooms two and three have twin beds. All three bedrooms have their own balcony. There is a sofabed in the main living area downstairs, which allows the Villa to sleep up to eight people. Perfect for either relaxing or sightseeing: you can elect to chill out around the pool at the Villa or there are watersports facilities at nearby Lourdas beach. Makris Gialos, only 20 minutes’ drive away, is a busy beach in the resort of Lassi and has a full range of watersports facilities such as waterskiing, windsurfing, parasailing, scuba diving, etc. The Villa is a short driving distance away from a number of beautiful sandy beaches and traditional Greek Tavernas. The Villa's private swimming pool measures 8m x 4m and is 1.2m at shallow end and 1.7m at deep end. The pool and sun area to the rear of the property is finished in Albanian stone, as is the driveway, where there is ample parking for at least two vehicles. Six sunbeds and three poolside tables are available together with three large parasols, a garden table and 6 chairs. A traditional Greek barbeque is also fitted outside. There is a lawned area to the front and side of the Villa, which is walled and gated. The garden benefits from external lighting. Places to visit on Kefalonia: The Villa is a great base to explore the island's many attractions, such as the nearby St Georges Castle, where the views over the South West coat and Argostoli bay are simply stunning. Sami is a picturesgue port on the East coast and the nearby Drogarati Caves are stalagmatic caves thought to be 150 million years old. Melissani Lake is an underground cave with a lake and when the midday sun hits the turquoise-blue waters, it creates a magical illusion filling the cave with blue light. Assos is a tiny village on the North-West coast built on a small peninsula dominated by the ruins of a 16th century Venetian castle and is not too far from Myrtos beach, one of the most photographed beaches in the world. Fiskardo is another picturesque fishing village on the North coast and is one of the few villages not to be destroyed in the earthquake of 1953. St Gerassimos' (the island's patron saint) Monastery is at the heart of the island and the interior is decorated with breathtaking murals. About the neighbourhood
Many of the island's beaches offer a range of watersports facilities and horseriding facilities are also available. The island offers a number of historic tourist attractions including St George's Castle and the ruins of a Venetian fort at Assos. Argostoli, the island's capital, has a bustling city square and a wide selection of bars, tavernas and shops. Ferries can be taken from Argostoli to Lixouri, on the island's western peninsula. Giant turtles can be found in Argostoli Bay patrolling the fishing boats for titbits whilst the local fishermen sell their daily catches each morning to the public at the harbour's edge. Ferries can also be used to island-hop to Ithaca, Zakynthos and Lefkas.
