Overview
Farmhouse -
3 Bedrooms , 3 Bathrooms , Sleeps 6
Sao Bras de Alportel, Faro District, Algarve
There are 3 double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, and a good sized shower and toilet on the upper floor level. On the ground level we have one bedroom, which opens onto the terrace and gorgeous view, an open lounge/dining area that also opens onto the terrace. The kitchen is small but well equipped. There is a separate laundry room alongside a shower-room and toilet and storage rooms for poolside beds, tables, umbrellas as required. The pool and garden are maintained all the year round.

We have retained traditional Portuguese features - stone walls, wooden ceilings and beams, wood burning stove and terracotta tiled floors. All rooms are well furnished and there is central heating in all rooms. Each bedroom has 2 single beds that can be zipped together to make 3 super king size beds and all rooms have portable fans for the summer we...

About the neighbourhood
The town of Sao Bras de Alportel is quiet and peaceful and is around 20 km north of Faro. It was once an affluent town in the days when it was the busy cork producing capital of Portugal. Today life is more tranquil, but you can still see around you the trappings of wealth in some of the larger houses, with intricate stonework and decorated in tiles. If you’re looking for a simple existence along side the traditional white houses, narrow cobbled streets and the remaining local craftsmen, it may be a good choice for your Algarve holiday this year. It is more suited to those of you who want to get away from it all and disappear back in time, in a traditional Algarve village. If you like walking, eating good food and want a bit of history, then you’ll like the place. If you want more from you... more
