Our third visit to the lovely mill. Pascal greeted us ( 9 friends) warmly.
The mill enjoys a splendid river setting. Pascal pointed out the new windows on the ground floor to better view the wildlife on the river - grebe, moorhens , kingfisher, ducks and a frog chorus!
The comfortable , authentic and charming mill has 8 bedrooms, on the first and second floors. The ground floor living room is vast, with plenty of sofas, chairs and a log fire. The dining room has an enormous table and is handily positioned next to the well-equipped kitchen.
The medieval town of Le Mans with its magnificent cathedral is a short ( 10 mins) drive away. The newly opened Bistroz at nearby Yvre- L'Eveque ( 3 km away) is deservedly popular.
Le Moulin is the perfect choice of venue for exploring Normandy and the Pays de La Loire. Thank you again, Pascal and Freda.

Excellent setting with historic building
Lovely old mill in a fabulous setting.
As a group of 16 it was ideal for us all to be under one roof and the spacious living room made for a great get together in the evenings.
The cleanliness left a lot to be desired, a great shame really because this would stop us visiting again. Well worn bed linen and towels.
There were also not enough bathroom facilities for such a large group 3 toilettes and 3 showers.
Pascal the owner was very pleasant and helpful, with a little more thought and effort to spruce up the overall cleanliness and some new bedding/towels he could have a super mill that people would want to visit again and again..

your comment surprises me; It seemed to me that your stay at the mill delighted you and I was very happy to have received you.) Your remarks are quite hard and very unusual. We took into account your remarks (I changed 2 towels among 16 and 2 duvet cover on the 12 beds ). The number of bathrooms corresponds to the description of the house (In the large bathroom, there is 1 large shower and a bath with a shower ) => 4 showers
Many of our guests come back from one year to the next especially for competitions on the circuit or to celebrate family events without making a special effort on the "cleanliness" . I can assure that the cleaning is done and done well each time but we will try to improve again on this point. Thank you for your visit.

What a fantastic place
Its an idyllic setting, truly beautiful place. Plenty of room , good facilities and Pascal and Freda are lovely. Could not recommend it more

Delightful holiday
Our group of 8 had a marvellous stay in this lovely old converted mill. The location is superb, set on an island in the middle of a river. If you get up early , as I did one morning, you might see otters playing on one bank and a kingfisher on the other.
The mill is spacious , light and comfortable (with dishwasher and washing machine) with a river view from every bedroom. The grounds are spacious and great for relaxing, fishing and BBQ.
The nearby village of Yvre- l'Eveque ( 2 mins by car) has an excellent minimarket, a bar, pharmacy and boulangerie . Le Mans is less than 10km away.
Pascal and his wife prepared us a most delicious 4- course dinner on our last night, using fresh local produce and left us to feast ( we'd bought our own wine).
A superb stay, a warm and helpful owner and an idyllic holiday. We have already booked for 2018.
