Holiday Rental House
Found in the Garden of Eden, Shibero's Cob home was creatively handcrafted out of earth and other organic materials, using the house building skills of the Abaluyia tribe of Western Kenya. Passionate about keeping the home and the lifestyle simple and natural, It is the only one of its kind, and stands out as a unique, rich and authentic cultural immersion experience, and the best of a rural environment and lifestyle in the midst of a plush Nairobi suburb. Definitely a private retreat for those who love nature, peace and quiet, the homestead is a showcase of the cultural and tribal inheritance of the Abaluyia tribe of Western Kenya, alongside warm and embracing hospitality.  ...Found in the Garden of Eden, Shibero's Cob home was creatively handcrafted out of earth and other organic materials, using the house building skills of the Abaluyia tribe of Western Kenya. Passionate about keeping the home and the lifestyle simple and natural, It is the only one of its kind, and stands out as a unique, rich and authentic cultural immersion experience, and the best of a rural environment and lifestyle in the midst of a plush Nairobi suburb. Located in the quiet suburbs of Karen, this beatifully built earthen house provides a unique traditional Kenyan architecture but with all the modern amenities available. To top it up, the host is wonderful and very welcoming.

The environment is honestly so quiet, serene and beautiful. I love the style of the compound.... the house itself takes you to a different place, you even forget you are in Nairobi. Would go there again and again!

About the neighbourhood
We are located in Karen, a nice, quiet plush leafy suburb outside Nairobi - the City Center. This area used to be more of a farming area. Our home is the only one of its kind - not made of stone. We are ten minutes from the Karen Shopping Center, which is surrounded by malls, eating places, banks, hospitals and interesting well-known areas that you can visit like the Karen Blixen Museum and the Giraffe Center.
Getting around
The best way of getting around is by taxi - Uber - since the drivers know all the places around and are affordable. Alternatively, at a cost, I could drive you myself to the interesting places. There is also a tours group that I could attach you to, to take you around. The choices are many. There is also public transport - which I wouldn't advise as a group.
