A pasture is available for horses. There is plenty to do including hiking, fishing, and hunting.

Great place for family-no A/C
We had our family of 10 adults and 3 grandchildren and had plenty of room for everyone. The barn was beautiful and roomy. Basketball and pickle-ball courts were a hit with the family. Close to Capitol Reef National Park. Sandy was wonderful to work with. Unfortunately, we didn't know there wasn't A/C in the barn so was not prepared for the heat. Made it difficult for grandchildren to nap and sleep at night because very warm.

Enjoyed family time at the Ranch
Enjoyed spending time with family on the Ranch at Elk Valley. The home was very comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had every thing we needed. It was great to be out doors and hiking in the fresh air. Enjoyed the fire in the evening and watching the amazing sky fill with stars.

Fabulous place
We spent two nights here! Lovely place. My two girls loved exploring the hidden places of the large barn. Certainly roomy and very clean. It is full of fun decor. Beds were comfortable.
The driving directions given by the hosts were perfect. We didn't have a chance to meet them (they were away), but all the communications with them were great.
Easy drive to Capital Reef N P.

Wonderful experience near Capitol Reef!
We stayed at the Elk Valley Ranch while visiting Capitol Reef National Park and the surrounding area. The ranch offers a peace, quite, and serene setting to return to after a long day of traveling and sightseeing. Don't be fooled by the barns former use, it has been converted to a fabulous living area with enough space and accommodation for a large group or families. The proximity to Capitol Reef and also the town of Torrey make this convenient but at the same time away from it all. This is a somewhat remote area of Utah so the availability of nearby amenities is a huge bonus. Booking was easy through Trip Advisor, and getting here with instructions from the owners was a breeze.

Beautiful barn in peaceful setting
It was easy to communicate with the owners. They seems to be very nice people. The property and surroundings are beautiful. Our toddler loved to see some horses and a kitty cat on the ranch. We enjoyed walking the 1.5-mile loop around the property and playing pool on the evening. It is a very peaceful place.

We LOVED the Rance at Elk Valley
Excellent accommodations, lovely owners, beautiful views, near Capital Reef National Park and the towns of Torrey and Boulder, Utah.
Loved the fact that the Ranch easily accommodated our large group (4 couples and two children=10). Easy access to the natural splendor of Capital Reef National Park. Beautiful, inviting home with excellent kitchen and many entertainment options (e.g., nearby hiking, beautiful views from the patio, great TV, pool table). Amazing value, highly recommended. We hope to visit again!

Gorgeous barn with tons of space!
We loved staying at this barn! Extremely spacious, beautiful furnishings and fixtures. The main floor living space is covered in colorful rugs with lots of comfy seating areas. The kitchen was great. Lots of space to work and serve. This barn is located on beautiful land, super close to Capitol Reef. We hiked to Cassidy arch (in Capitol reef)- seriously amazing hike! Ends up on top of the arch. Breathtaking scenery in every direction. Not crowded like Arches Nat'l Park. We definitely plan on returning and want to stay at the barn again. Our four kids loved it, too.

Spectacular View and Lodging
Every detail of this Ranch is amazing! We had a great time hiking up Boulder Mountain at Calf Creek. We spent a day in beautiful Capitol Reef. We also enjoyed riding 4-wheelers and exploring the amazing scenery. At the end of a long day, it was nice to have an inviting place to cook and play games. Our children enjoyed the pool table, games, fire pit and slept in the loft. This is a great rental for small or large families. The view is spectacular morning or night. We are already planning our next trip!

Gorgeous Views and Amazing Accomodations!
My friend and I stayed at this vacation rental while were hunting and fishing on Boulder Mountain. There is great access to beautiful country. The Great Western Trail is only 3 miles down the road. It takes you to the top of Boulder Mountain. Fishing is outstanding on Blind Lake! The hosts are amazing! The accomodations are very spacious. The pool table and living area provided a lot of fun! Its worth every penny! I can't wait to come back next year!

An experience we will not forget
Our family had a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed the 4 wheelers and the incredible hikes. We loved being away from so many people. The closes commercial stores are 6 miles away.
