Booked this place on sykes cottages and it's a gem. Location is excellent for a quiet break as its in the small village but good for walkers as its close to hadrians wall and other historical sites. The cottage is a purpose built modern building which is like a tardis inside. It has all the facilities you require for a self catering holiday and is spotlessly clean with very modern fixtures and fittings of a very high standard. Helen the owner popped around within the first 30 min to check everything was ok, then left us to it for the rest of our stay. Just a short walk down the road is the samson Inn, we ate there every night of our 4 night stay as food and local beers were very good. If you don't mind a quiet location this is an ideal spot but not to far away from Carlisle the lakes and Scotland. An absolute credit to Helen and Geoff.
