About the neighbourhood
The Neighborhood Amazing! Sailing Adventure! Party Bars! Beaches! Wonderful friendly people A Pure Paradise everything a dream vacation could be it will be. Getting Around You and your captain can plan your perfect trip, the yacht will be your very own floating hotel ******************************************************************************************************************************************************** 14: 'Sample ONLY Itinerary' for British Virgin Islands 7 day inclusive Charter: 7 Day Itinerary Day 1: Depart Tortola and make the short sail to Norman Island. Swim & snorkel around the famous Indians or The Caves. Head into The Bight for an overnight mooring, where you can visit the famous Willy T floating bar or Pirates Bight for dinner. Day 2: Set sail for Cooper Island and arrive in time to secure one of the overnight mooring buoys at the Cooper Island Beach Club. Spend the day on the beach, within easy reach of the beach bar or go snorkelling off Cistern Point. Day 3: A short trip from Cooper Island takes you to the world famous Baths National Park. Arrive early pick up one of the mooring buoys and take the dinghy ashore. Spend the morning exploring the boulders and rocks that form this natural wonder and take a short hike up to 'The Top of The Baths' or 'Mad Dogs' for lunch. After lunch make your way to Trellis Bay off Beef Island for an overnight stop. Be sure to make dinner reservations at The Last Resort – an experience not to be missed. The Baths, Virgin Gorda Day 4: Set sail for the North Sound in Virgin Gorda in the morning – if you sail via The Dogs you will find more great snorkelling. You can choose from a number of great mooring spots in North Sound itself including Leverick Bay, a Pussers Resort, Biras Creek for a more sophisticated, formal dinner or Bitter End Yacht Club for lots of entertainment and things to see and do. You can learn to windsurf here, hire a Hobie Cat, enjoy the many lovely beaches, visit the shops or enjoy the busy bars and restaurants. Day 5: Sail to Monkey Point on Guana Island in the morning for lunch and some snorkeling. Then set off down the North shore of Tortola towards Great Harbour in Jost Van Dyke. This is a great place to spend the night, and you can visit the world famous Foxy's Bar. Day 6: Take a short trip over the White Bay/Sandy Cay – the perfect desert island. This magical little island is a great place to stop and reflect on your wonderful stay in the BVI. You can snorkel, swim or just enjoy the beach here and then set off after lunch to Cane Garden Bay on Tortola for your overnight anchorage. In the evening be sure to go ashore for live music and dancing at Quitos. Day 7: Set sail for Sopers Hole, where you can stop for lunch and some last minute gift shopping before heading back to Road Town in the afternoon. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************* Other Things to Note ******************************************************************************************************************************************************* 13. Extra Information Article The buzz MUST see Hotspots (Article written by FODORS) Granted, the BVI aren't a Caribbean culinary hotspot like St. Barths or Anguilla, but nor are they a backwater. Fresh seafood simply prepared so the flavors sing, traditional Creole-style sauces, cocktails at beach bars, and enchanting water views from practically every eatery make the chain an unsung foodie destination. Tortola's sophisticated (and Fodor's Choice) Sugar Mill centers around the namesake 375-year-old ruin. This intimate hotel is a Fodor’s Choice and its restaurant, adorned with top-notch Caribbean artworks, is arguably the finest in the BVI. The owners, Jeff and Jinx Morgan, are longtime food & travel writers who had a regular column for Bon Appetit for years. Hop the ferry from Beef Island to Scrub Island Resort, where Executive Chef Davide Pugliese turns out brilliant juxtapositions of taste and texture, like vanilla-kissed grouper poached in coconut milk. The resort's more casual Tierra! Tierra! offers innovative Caribbean takes on continental classics, such as island lasagna with pumpkin and braised Angus short ribs in tamarind BBQ sauce. The Rock Cafe on Virgin Gorda is a gem, beautifully situated in the treetops and boulders of The Baths. It's the perfect spot to have a drink before or after dinner, enjoy the Italian cuisine (surprisingly tasty pizzas) amid candlelit tables, the crashing waves and waterfalls providing percussive accompaniment. For a different antidote to civilization, Bomba's Surfside Shack is a very colorful Tortola beach bar, filled with character and characters. In 1976, a shipwright nicknamed Bomba opened a small bar, with very little money or materials. Friends dropped off odds and ends they couldn't use, like half-finished bottles of booze. The 'end' result is an ever-changing, continually expanding collage of trash. It's a gloriously makeshift and raunchy jumble of junk, and tradition dictates that you must leave something behind, which is why you'll discover everything from bras and boxers to business cards. Over on Jost, White Bay is perennially rated among the Caribbean's loveliest strands of beach. But its real attraction is the Soggy Dollar Bar, another Caribbean classic, home of the original painkiller cocktail. The bar earned its moniker because the only access is via water; sodden sailors would hand over drenched dollar bills.* * ARTICLE all credits to Frodors Travel Writer ******************************************************************************************************************************************************** House Rules We want you to laugh live & love every moment of your vacation, all we ask is that you embrace & respect the wonderful people of the Caribbean.
