Nestled in Northern Ireland's famous emerald green hills, Duneden Cottage was designed by RIBA President Alan Jones from an ancient stone outbuilding circa 1835 its traditional exterior belying the contemporary accommodation within. It comprises of 2 spacious bedrooms, modern bathroom, compact cloakroom and large open plan living/dining area with vaulted pine ceiling & panoramic views of the fields & forest beyond. This airy, light filled space also houses a fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine & coffee machine. There is private parking and a rear paved terrace with 180* views of the rolling countryside providing the perfect spot to watch the sunrise. When the sun goes down, the Secret Garden beckons- a secluded twinkly lit garden with children's playhouse, dining area & Weber BBQ- ideal for atmospheric convivial nights al fresco. Guests may also have use of the BBQ/bar in the nearby courtyard should there be a 'soft night' as we say in Ireland! Imagine reclining on the daybed after a day exploring with a freshly brewed latte, drinking in the stunning view beyond...or perhaps cosying up, glass of wine in hand while the kids watch a movie...or relaxing in the bath while gazing at the stars through the skylight above. Escape with a game of tennis or a picnic in the orchard. Experience the bucolic idyll that is 'Duneden'. Guest access Guests have full use of cottage, secret garden BBQ area with Weber BBQ. Use of indoor BYOB Bar and BBQ. Formal gardens and woodlands (4 acres). Tennis court and orchards. 3min to M2 with links to both Belfast International (15min) & George Best City airports (25min). We booked for two nights on a visit to Northern Ireland for a family wedding. So glad we found this place. Allie was great at communicating with me prior to the visit and attentive on our arrival. Even offering to help with any last minute needs for our wedding outfits. The property and grounds are special it's just a shame we didn't get chance to enjoy them more... definitely need another visit to do so. The beds were comfortable, the menfolk loved having a log burner to use and the local goodies in the fridge were a delicious surprise. I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

This place is just perfect. Even though we arrived slightly earlier than planned (and earlier that the usual allowed check in time) the host, Allie, greeted us with a warm smile and good conversation. We were given a tour of the extensive grounds and facilities together with a tour of the cottage and explanation of heating controls and such like. A lovely surprise to find some butter, milk and orange juice in the fridge and a welcome basket on the table with jam, fresh bread and biscuits in. The outdoor fire pit was stacked with logs and the barbecue was fuelled up all ready to go, with lighting too so you can cook and burn well into the darkness. The cottage itself was immaculately clean, well appointed and extremely comfortable. Board games, a PlayStation and Alexa are all provided together with a TV that we didn’t even find time to switch on. There were 5 of us, both bedrooms were bright and comfy and apparently our 15 year old lad had no complaints on the sofa bed either. The location of this place is cracking too. It’s so quiet sitting outside at the fire or on the patio yet you are only 20 mins from Belfast Intl airport, 30 Mins into central Belfast, and only 3 minutes from the motorway if you want to go anywhere else. Even Giants Causeway up on the North coast is only a 50 minute drive, or you can take the coastal causeway scenic route which is a really stunning drive. Seriously, we are already planning our next trip as 3 days just wasn’t long enough. Allie - See you soon. Mark n Vic. x

Came upon this little gem and thought it would be the perfect base to visit family when visiting from England. It didn’t disappoint, great hosts, stunning views and grounds, the cottage was clean and welcoming with a lovely welcome pack. Hard to believe such a beautiful tranquil setting could be so close to a town. Can’t wait to our next visit.

If you are looking for peace and quiet in an idyllic setting that’s not too far out of the way and within walking distance of good pubs, this is the place for you. My only previous experience of being in randalstown, was for a cycling sportive…a quick glimpse at the viaduct whilst looking for a coffee stop! This was an opportunity to spend time in the area with friends now that the restrictions have lifted. Firstly, the accommodation and setting: spotless, spacious and special….with birds, rabbits, pheasant, foxes and bees as our neighbours..and everything required to make our stay comfortable Secondly, the local area…we walked (10mins) into the village and sampled the Guinness in okanes which was up to my husbands exacting standards! the village is very pretty and friendly and well placed for day trips. Finally, the hosts…friendly without being intrusive and left nothing to chance…they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I cannot recommend duneden lodge highly enough…Already planning another booking….😊

Well where do I start, driving through the most tranquil tree lined lane to arrive at the glamping area. We were welcomed by Allie the moment we arrived and given a tour of the accommodation, bbq area, bar area and surrounding grounds, Which included a wild life area. The sun was splitting the trees and all we could hear were the birds chirping and sheep in the next field. We enjoyed every moment of the weekend from playing table tennis, walking throughout the grounds and chatting to the other guests. We also visited Randalstown, an idyllic place that's so pretty and has lots to offer all age groups. The accomadtion was spotless, the decor was stunning and the overall atmosphere was superb. We will be return.. a great place for a family getaway!

We stayed here for 3 nights recently, with our son and our dog. It is a perfect place to relax and explore the causeway coast. The cottage is well equipped and tastefully decorated. Guests have access to the lovey grounds, woodland, tennis Court and a cosy little bar area. There is also a firepit and barbecue area. Allie is a very welcoming and friendly host and we enjoyed meeting her. We would definitely recommend a stay at Dunden Cottage.

Great few nights stay! Great cottage & wonderful host. The cottage is just perfect, beautifully decorated. It has wifi, games, DVDs & Netflix. The grounds around the cottage are beautiful. It is in the perfect location, just a 5 minute drive to the town. We brought our dogs as the cottage is dog friendly and they had an absolute ball, lots of room to run about and explore. Could not recommend enough. Can't wait to go back again at the end of next month.

Simply beautiful, gorgeous cottage and gardens. We stayed for a week and had such a great time. Our girls loved playing in the tennis court and the outdoor connect 4. The gardens are just gorgeous. The bbq area and fire pit great. Allie and Mark, the owners are very friendly and helpful. So much to see and do in the area, Antrim castle and gardens, 10 min drive, Giants Causeway and Rope Bridge both about 45 mins drive and fabulous to visit. Randalstown is such a gorgeous village and the Kandy shop, very yummy ice cream.,
