Simply Breathtaking 😍
Had the absolute pleasure of staying here with some friends and could not believe the absolute beauty of the place! Everything was incredible...location, accommodation, the welcome and above all the impeccable attention to even the tiniest amount of detail. Every glance found yet another bespoke, hand picked and unique item or decoration that made you feel that you had been transported into the kind of luxury I thought only existed in high end interior design magazines. Just fabulous! Each individually designed apartment appeared to follow it's own gorgeous theme - nothing had been compromised in creating a getaway that left me feeling like I never wanted to leave. What a wonderful place to get married (or any other celebration) or merely a place to unite family or friends. Definitely a place I'm not likely to forget ... and certainly a place that I'll be looking for every opportunity in the book to visit again.

One word - Wow!!
Having lived in South Wales all my life, I had somehow never discovered Gileston, much less had the pleasure of staying in such an idyllic setting as Gileston manor. The manor itself is historic and beautiful, a rural idyl all of its own that holds a little lake, a tiny church and the most breathtaking views out to sea. You felt the work week melt away just by pulling up in the courtyard! The hosts couldn’t have been more gracious, encouraging us to have a walk around the grounds and even though we were staying for a girls night in one of the apartments within the renovated coach house, we were invited to have a peek at the other apartments. Wow! Each one has a character all of its own, with the most intricate attention to detail in every room. Whether you like sumptuous, modern luxury, or cosy, elegant charm - this place has you covered. From the bedding to the bathroom, no expense was spared, clearly - it was like spending the night in your favourite Pinterest pages! Absolute luxury, yet somehow warm and cosy, they got it spot on with this place and we’re already planning our return visit!!

Be careful when booking this cottage
My wife and I were due to visit this cottage in August, having booked online via cottages.com. Only for our reservation to be cancelled 6 days before we were due to visit, apparently due to an IT error. We received two confirmations of our bookings. One 7 days before we were due to visit. We paid in full, haven’t received our money back yet. I wouldn’t TRUST your booking will be honoured, irrespective of when you book.

Absolutely outstanding in every way!
Phenomenal venue, staff & experience. There is nothing to fault from our weekend at Gileston Manor. We stayed for a family celebration of our parents 50th golden Wedding Anniversary & every detail was beyond our expectations! We had 3 accommodations as a family, The Apple Store, The Stables & The Stalls all completely exceeded everything we were expecting! The standard of rooms & attention to detail was just simply superb! The grounds are exceptional, every view is a photo opportunity with beautifully kept gardens & lovely flowers. On top of this we have to praise all the staff, every member of staff that we had contact with from the time of booking to everyone we met during out stay. A perfect example of people who obviously love & enjoy their jobs! Friendly, Helpful, Passionate & Interested! Gileston Manor & the whole experience of our weekend was first class! We would totally highly recommend Gileston Manor & are already looking forward to a return visit!

Two faced money grabbers
I booked my wedding at Gileston Manor, and from the moment I booked it things changed. Before the booking they couldn't do enough for you promising you everything, but once I had booked they change their tune. I had to argue and barter for everything I was promised. To the point where they were arguing with me the week of my wedding about our drinks package. I would like to say this was the only thing we were not happy about but I can't. From the professionalism of the barstaff to the evening co-ordinator it was farcical. I had to argue for a table to be given wine, even though we had paid for it, they refused to leave wine on the table unless it was poured into a glass. When leaving he marquee at the end of the evening the co-ordinator got in guests faces and demanded they leave, before the alloted 12:30 exit time. We also had issues with the massively overpriced accommodation and getting fresh towels and bedding, even though they class themselves as 5 star luxury, their towels had holes and no clean towels were provided. When we complained after we left, we were made out to be liars and no apology was offered. It should be noted for everyone there are different prices for wedding stays and non wedding stays for exactly the same room, for example 1 night stay for a wedding is £450 compared to £200 for a non wedding booking. This is even illustrated on their website. We complained to the owner directly about individuals mentioned above, this was passed to the individual whom we complained about to deal with. Goes to show how serious they took it. Farcical!! It wasn't all doom and gloom, the venue itself is fantastic, the views and gardens are spectacular. The people running the place let it down massively, from the owner to 1 of the co-ordinators. What should have been a very special day for me and my bride, wasn't. When guest come up to you on the day and tell you how expensive everything is, it isn't nice. Frankly it is very expensive and seems like they have separate bar prices for wedding, and it seems all the owners are trying to do is get as much money out of you as possible. There were no nice touches to make the bridal sweet special for example bottle of prosecco for the bride the morning of the wedding.
