Situated in the lower part of the hamlet of Thrupp, this detached Cotswold stone barn conversion stands in the grounds of our Manor House and lies adjacent to the 18th-century Oxford Canal.
Offering wonderful characterful accommodation for a holiday, The Coach House is a spacious and beautifully converted barn which overlooks open countryside, sleeping 12.

This detached barn conversion offers spacious accommodation for 12 guests. Five beautifully presented bedrooms are offered, alongside three bathrooms, kitchen and utility room, dining room, and a spacious lounge with wood burning stove. Could be better with a bit more thought to practicality of staying
This is a lovely property in terms of location being right next to a canal and tea room. Very quiet and great sunsets included! There are a few things that would improve this rental though.
Mirrors. There is a lack of mirrors. Not all rooms have them which means you have to share the bathrooms if you wish to look at one. I would be helpful for all bedrooms to have a mirror (and there was space on the walls) and there was no full length mirror in the whole place.
Storage for clothes. There are a few hooks in the bedrooms but barely any storage at all with only the main rooms having any draws you could actually place your t-shirts etc if you were going to stay any length of time. Otherwise you will be living out of a suitcase. This was not great at all.
Plug sockets. Again, not enough in the bedrooms. Most of us had to unplug a lamp in order to plug in our phones or watches to charge. They need more.
Lastly, bugs. Now you expect bugs in the countryside but the spiders were MASSIVE and there are woodlice everywhere. Too many woodlice really which is the main complaint as you can't help spiders but the woodlice were in every room and in copious amounts. They should be doing something about keeping these out.
Some of the mattresses were dimpled in the middle and the sofa seats sagged. If you like the countryside this is great, but I wouldn't recommend staying here.
