Agrado rescues the cozy and personalized service of an authentic guest house, designed and equipped as a boutique hotel with the creative mood of an artistic residence.
The perfect spot for middle age single travelers, digital nomads and art scene lovers looking for a place to relax, think and get inspired.
Agrado manages all kinds of cultural experiences and also sponsors artistic residencies: exhibitions, conferences, talks, recitals, and gatherings are happening all the time; sometimes organized and sometimes spontaneous.
Our rates include breakfast & dinner. Both served on a common table. In a very spontaneous and natural way, the house becomes a place to reconnect with oneself and to meet other travelers, exchange projects, ideas, and life stories.

Interaction with guests:
I founded Agrado because as a middle age professional, when I used to travelled on vacations by myself, I looked for nice, confortable, centric, sociable and quiet place to stay. And that was almost impossible to find. So i built up Agrado as a refuge where you can stay once you dared to take a break in your life to heal, think, create or simply take a good rest.
Nowadays I live here, in my own guest house, making the place i looked for many year ago real and sharing life experiences with all of my guests.

About the neighbourhood
If you are looking for truly Mexican traditions, you already found the perfect place to visit, from their markets, artisans ateliers and churches to their local, magical and colorful festivities. Oaxaca traditions are more alive than ever.
And if you decide to make your visit longer, you could easily get to know the artistic scene and be part of a multicultural and cosmopolitan community that is making Oaxaca the most trendy and cool place to live in México. Galleries, museums, mezcal shops and lots of beautiful Colonial houses turned into a nice restaurant, bar, or any other type of cool artistic, cultural, or social project.
