If you would like to get away from it all, and that includes other tourists, and still be able to enjoy the local ambiance, this is a good place to start. Quiet and very safe neighbourhood, perfect to experience a low-paced lifestyle, eat Caribbean fusion cuisine at Mango Café right on the corner, or local Mexican food at Monchi's just across the street; shop at the biggest supermarket on the island at a very short walk, or at Bronco's grocery store. Bakery and fresh fish and shrimps close by. Less than 10 minutes' taxi ride to downtown and main beach. 1 USD a ride.
