This venerable condo complex predates the giant hotels like the Hyatt and the Hilton that now surround it. So while the apartment may not be the most modern, it offers privacy and charm that you can't get at those places. And It comes fully equipped with cable TV, air-conditioning throughout, a terrace area, laundry facilities, beach equipment (towels and chairs) and a full kitchen. Best of all, it is a short walk from the public access beach. You can rent an umbrella and loungers at a number of places, or just choose to swim as we did at 9am without a rental. when the beach is mostly empty.
The popular 5th avenue strip is very close by. Although the music emanating from that area is quite loud, the condo is at the far back of the complex and pretty well sound-insulated.
The kitchen is well-equipped, but food markets are not numerous in this area of town. Fixing breakfast is easy, but eating out or takeout might be easier for lunch and dinner.
Best of all, the host, Connie, is super-accommodating. She allowed us to reschedule our trip twice due to COVID. We were glad to finally be able to arrive!
