The beautiful 'Casa Cascada' is located in Playacar Phase I, a quiet, gated community. It's a brief stroll to the beach through an ancient Maya ruin, and a 10 minute walk to the lively atmosphere of downtown Playa del Carmen.
This is a three-story bungalow. The ground floor includes the living room, dining area, full kitchen, and full bath. It opens to the private garden area with small pool & delightful waterfall. The middle floor has a private bedroom / bath and opens to a wrap around terrace with hammock and comfortable lounge chairs overlooking the pool and gardens below. There is also a small sitting area on that level. The top floor has the master bedroom with large bath area and private deck to view the ocean. The small pool is surrounded by luxuriant vegetation which offers privacy. Water cascading down some artfully placed rocks add beauty and a relaxing sound. (Cascada is Spanish for waterfall)
Really enjoyed the interior, the services and amenities of the house. Clean water provided, maid 3 times a week, the manager - always available to answer any questions. The only downside of visiting in October is that the closest beach had a lot of algae so we had to drive to nearby beach clubs, but we loved Casa Cascada and would be happy to come back again.

Beautiful, well-equipped home
The rental was very nice, clean, and had the luxuries of home. The neighborhood is not only safe, but beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this rental for those staying in Playa.

Perfect
Wow, what a wonderful trip. This was the perfect place for my friend and I to stay. Short walk to the beach, short walk to town. Extremely well kept and quiet. Lot's of wonderful reading material on local environments as well as "get away" novels. We each had our own space in well set up rooms. The rooftop patio was great for a bit of sun during the day and stargazing at night. The pool was great for a cooling refreshing dip. Felt like I never want to leave. Claudia was there if needed via text or phone and thankfully we never had to bother her.
Win the lottery and buy this place to retire.

House is beautiful and spacious, especially the second floor and roof top decks. The pool is refreshing and well kept. The main issue is with the A/C. When we arrived, we were given an allotment of how much energy we could use during our stay, and told we would be charged extra if we exceeded their limit. We were not aware of this restriction when we booked. So we had to be very mindful of running the A/C, which resulted in the house cooling down only at night. During the day it was always too hot.

Magical Moment!
My experience, from beginning to end, was wonderful. The house was better than I expected and looked better than the pictures. The house wasn't too small, or too big; it was perfect. The location is great. We were able to do many different things, which made it a very interesting 3 weeks. My family and I enjoyed it so much, that we would recommend it to our family and friends. Claudia was a great manager to work with.

Fabulous and Comfortable Home
I visited Playa Del Carmen (Playacar) and was very happy with Casa Cascada and Claudia, the very diligent property manager. The home is very up to date, and has great mayan artwork throughout the home. I could tell that the homes owner has lovingly taken care of this property. I am picky about beds, and this home had great beds for sleeping. Loved coming back from the beach and jumping in the pool and sitting outside in the beautiful garden. This home is very close to the beach, and is located is a beautiful and safe gated community. Claudia (property manager) helped us arrange for hire of a private cook, Blanca was a wonderful cook and i would highly recommend her. You can easily walk from this home to 5th Ave, which has restaurants, shops, and some incredible people watching. We loved Casa Cascada.

Very charming and comfortable
We loved our stay at the Mayan Bungalow! My husband and I came to PDC with another couple, so the fact that the bedrooms are on seperate floors was perfect! The master is so seperate that you have total privacy when needed. The house was very close to the beach and all the bars, shopping and restaraunts, we never took a taxi at all. The neighborhood felt totally safe to walk around even at night. The only downfall was that grovery shopping was a bit far, next time we would definately arrange for groceries to be delivered prior to arrival. Other than that, a perfect time with perfect weather and amazing beaches! We will be coming back as soon as time allows. Lisa

Absolutely the best place to stay
I have spent more that one vacation in Playa Del Carmen and this is my second trip to Casa Cascada. In July of last year we went down to swim with the whale sharks. We had an incredible experience in which the owner of the home was able to assist us in booking the trip. Swimming with the whale sharks and then enjoying a relaxing evening by the pool was magical. The home, grounds, amenities, views!! are all spectacular.
Our recent trip down was no exception. Very well kept and easy walking distance to the beach and downtown. This is a jewell worth experiencing!

Tranquil luxurious comfort on the Mayan Riviera
A sense of timelessness pervades this special property. The mix of Mediterranean and Mayan decor suggests a mythical Pre-Contact era; the lush abundant gardens, whispering trickling fountains, and cenote-like pool evoke a personal Shangra-La. From the third-floor bedroom you can lose yourself in the azure/apricot sunsets of the Caribbean middle distance. As well,you can easily lose yourself in the en-suite library replete with informative books on local flora/fauna and art--all of which can only embellish the cultural aspect of your vacation.
By day, awake to the trilling of exotically-plumed birds; by evening, gaze into the zen of a setting sun; by night, stare at the moon reflected in the garden's private cenote. You will not regret leaving home, but you will certainly regret having to leave this sensuous slice of Yucatecan paradise.

The service was very good:maintenance,gardener,maid and managing.
Beautiful house it was like our home.
Everything is nice there:Kitchen Rooms,terraces ,garden,swiming pool ect,
Its hard to say what we liked best but we thing that is the second floor's terrace.Very beautiful!

How to get to Playacar Phase 1 / This is where Casa Cascada is located:
From the Cancun airport, head south on main road 307 to Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Pass through Puerto Morelos. At the next traffic light, enter Playa del Carmen. When the road is divided into 8 lanes, stay in the central lanes to go over the bridges until the bridges are finished, you will find a traffic light, on the left side you will see the Sams Club, turn in U and go to the side. Pass the first stone sign that says Playacar, on the next street turn right where it says Hotel Windham Garden, where the street ends turn left there is a two-story shopping center called Plaza Antigua where you will see handicrafts, turn to the right on the cobblestone street, this is the entrance to Playacar Phase 1, where your rental villa is located. The security guards know where the house is, just ask them.
