We booked this house for 2 families, mainly due to the location. And it really didn't disappoint. Halfway up the cliff road, it's perched on the side of the cliff and has amazing views over the bay/beach. It's just a short walk to the beach itself, and there's even 2 pubs on the way! Three families stayed at this property with children ranging from 8-18 years in August 2016. About the neighbourhood
Porthtowan is a large north west facing sandy cove flanked by steep cliffs, popular with surfers and families alike. It's located a 10 minute drive off the A30, and a short drive from Truro and Newquay. It is situated within Cornwall's UNESCO World Heritage Site and surrounded by land owned by the National Trust. The village itself has a general store selling all of your necessities plus good local produce. There are two surf shops where you can rent or buy equipment, a fish and chip shop, a café, an ice cream parlour and two pubs, both serving food all day and into the evening. For any other needs, there is a Tesco Extra in Redruth (15 minutes drive) and a Sainsbury's Superstore in Truro (20 minutes drive).

Driving: From the North, take the A30
Turn right on to the B3277 (behind the Starbucks),
Follow the road for 1.6 miles
Turn left at the Seven Milestone Garage, sign posted to Porthtowan,
Cross the intersection, drive through Towan Cross.
Follow the road down the hill and turn right onto Beach Road.
Bear left at the Unicorn Tavern
Left onto West Cliff (at the small round about)
Follow the lane up the hill, you will see a white breeze block garage with grey doors. Seaforth is located up (35) steps.
In order to park at the house you should drive past the garage and turn around further up West Cliff.
