Peaceful, private location, 5 mins from the local market town. Lots to do within 10 miles of the house, pretty villages, bustling markets, caves, steam trains and canoeing plus the excellent pool at the end of each day.

About the neighbourhood
More active pursuits include horse riding which can be arranged locally, canoeing down the Dordogne River, tennis, cycling (we have several bikes for hire and also organise half and full day cycling itineraries), beautiful walks, three nearby golf courses, and hot-air ballooning trips. For children there is also an 'acrobranche' park if they enjoy climbing and adventure, water parks, the 'foret de singes' and 'parc animalier', and not forgetting the steam train running along the banks of the Dordogne in the summer months. In the summer months most villages have weekend fête's and markets, brocantes and many other activities. For many, however, the main attraction of the region are the rolling hills, peace and quiet of our immediate surroundings, as well as the local gastronomic special...
Getting around
The house is just 3km from Meyssac where you find shops, bars, restaurants and a twice weekly market. An easy 30 minute walk, however you will need a card to visit the many amazing sights in our area.
