Available for short and long term rentals, this open concept apartment is your professionally decorated and fully furnished “home away from home.” The suite comes complete with a washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fully appointed kitchen, bedding, linens, towels, fully enclosed backyard, BBQ, free utilities, free Wifi, premium cable TV, air conditioning, free access to adult and children's bicycles, and free parking. Biweekly cleaning services are also included.Our apartments are self contained, private and are rented to one guest as a whole unit. We do not rent rooms to different guests. About the neighbourhood
This two-story apartment is located on a quiet tree-lined street in the heart of three well-established West Toronto neighbourhoods: Roncesvalles, High Park, and Bloor West Village. This area is well known for its great food scene and family friendly communities. Recently, our neighbourhood High Park/Swansea has been ranked in the Top 3, out of 140, in Toronto Life Magazine's 'The Best Places to live in the City.' The apartment is within walking distance of excellent primary and secondary schools, local gyms, yoga studios, bistros, cafés, restaurants, pubs, bakeries, fruit stores, specialty cheese stores, butcher shops and the recently saved and community run Revue Cinema. Old growth trees and many parks surround Alhambra Ave. Notably, the house is two blocks from High Park, Toronto’s largest park and hub for outdoor activities, including numerous playgrounds, ponds, running/hiking/walking trails, a children’s zoo, skating rink, swimming pool, children’s wading pools, lease free dog areas, baseball/soccer/football fields, restaurants, and the Howard Park Tennis Club. Just a short walk south from High Park leads you to the Lakeshore where you can traverse the waterfront Martin Goodman running and biking trail, Sunnyside Beach and its volleyball courts, restaurant, and swimming pool. Other nearby parks include High Park, Columbus Parkette, Erwin Krichhahn Park and Lithuania Park. Our Neighbourhood scores 100 out of 100 on the Transit score website for cities. There is one free parking spot at the rear of the property and if necessary additional street parking can be arranged. We are 5 mins from the Gardiner Expressway/QEW Based on the the “WALK SCORE WEBSITE” our property on Alhambra Ave, Toronto has a Walk Score of 98 out of 100. This location is a Walker’s Paradise so daily errands do not require a car. Transportation - 8 mins to Downtown Steps to UP Express Train, Subway and Streetcars: Our Neighbourhood scores 100 out of 100 on the Transit score website for cities. Just steps to the Keele or Dundas West Subway stations and UP Express Dundas station. Also 4 different streetcars lines that run across the city. (505 Dundas line, 306 Carlton/College line, and 504 King St Line, Queen Line). UP Express Train (Union Pearson Airport Express train. From Pearson International Airport. It is a 10 minute trip, Exit at the second station, Dundas Station, turn right on Bloor St West and walk 2 blocks past Dundas St West and turn left on Alhambra Ave. ( less than 200 yards and runs every 15 mins). To/From Union station- 8 mins to downtown using the UPS express train - direct with no stops. Numerous car rental/hire agencies nearby and 6 zip car stations within walking distance. Many local bakeries, butcher stores, Green grocers and other food stores are nearby. How to get there
In the Spring of 2015 there will be a new express airport train link, called the Union Pearson Express (Union station is the central downtown train terminal and Pearson is the international airport). We are fortunate enough to be located 100 yards from one of the four stops, our stop is the Bloor Dundas Station. We will be only 10-15 mins from either the airport or the Union station train terminal. There will be wifi provided on the trains and the trains will travel every 15 minutes. Please visit their website at the Union Pearson Express for more information. Once you exit the station walk west to the intersection of Bloor St and Dundas St West and past it one block. Alhambra Ave is located one block south of Dundas St West on the south side of Bloor St.
