The property is ideally situated in the Cotentin Regional Park, 15 minutes walk from the historic town of Lessay and only 10 minutes drive from the beautiful blue-flagged beaches on Normandy's western coast. Surrounded by open pastures with grazing cows, the grounds of the gite comprise lawns, flower-gardens and a shady wooded area bordered by a small stream. Guests have access to the gardens as well as two private patios - one south facing and the other west facing - so evening BBQs can be enjoyed with the sun setting over the fields beyond! The facilities are:

A potentially returnable deposit of £150 is payable against accidental damage to the property..The owners live on-site in a separate house at the other end of the gardens during rental periods. Smoking is not allowed in the house, but is allowed in the garden

About the neighbourhood
Lessay is renowned for its wonderful Norman Abbey dating from the time of William the Conquerer. Throughout July and August classical concerts and recitals take place here. For gastronomes, there is the guided tour around Reo - the major camembert and creme fraiche producer.. The area is also famous for its seaford, specifically oysters and mussels, which are farmed in the sea.
Also in Lessay is a Go-Karting stadium and nearby at St Saveur a canoe/kayaking centre. Lessay is situated in the National Park with many forests and walking/scylcle path. The nearest to the property, the old railway line, is just a few minutes walk from the property. If you are feeling energetic, you can cycle all the way to Mont St Michel!
