A selfish urge to keep this 'find' a 'secret', and greedily offer no review, is displaced only out of justice to Sophia y Roger, not just for their warm and helpful welcome but for presenting El Neru so well. Depends what you want, but the house surpassed our (two 'sixty something's') expectations: mid village, close (2 min max walk) to VERY decent restaurant, (Xagarda), 10 minute (max) walk by 'hidden' local foot way to the exquisitely beautiful Playa de Poo. Every interior inch of space efficiently used in the tasteful and sympathetic remodelling of this neat old stone house; Have your morning shower 'en suite', as they say, and throw open the huge old double windows of the large bedroom to take in the view, albeit limited, of village and Picos. Dress, and down the safety ++ wooden staircase for breakfast in the small but virtually 100% private garden or, if inclement, covered porch, both helpfully served discreetly by smart outside loo. 8 out of 10 for utensils but, that apart, well equipped neat and functional kitchen and living area, rebalanced, come evening, by a first rate, new, and excellently provided bbq. Spotless, top to bottom, inside and out, this house and area is a winner unless, that is, you care for the head banging, beer swilling, burger munching, wi-fi hooked, tabloid reading etc way of life in which case you will neither welcome, nor be welcomed by, Poo.
