Silver Sands is a rural gated community of roughly 100 privately owned villas and cottages located 1.5 miles outside of the small town of Duncans in the parish of Trelawny, and is situated between the popular cruise ports of Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. Guests at Silver Sands can easily arrange transport to these popular destinations through Mysilversands Guest Services on the Silver Sands patio. Other nearby tourists attractions include Dunns River Falls, Mystic Mountain, Dolphin Cove and others. Roots Cottage is located on the Derby Beach which has an onshore coral reef, perfect for snorkelers of all abilities, and is just a short walk away from the magnificent Silver Sands beach - arguably the best beach on Jamaica's North Coast.
