Recently renovated to a high standard by the current owners, Marion's Cottage is a well equipped, traditional French Cottage. It is furnished in French Country style but with modern appliances and amenities. It is handily placed for all the Lower Normandy tourist attractions such as Le Mont St Michel, the WW2 Landing Beaches and Bayeux Tapestry. It is also possible to get a passenger ferry from Granville in the summer months to Jersey or the Iles de Chaussey (French Channel Islands). The property is well suited to those looking for a relaxing break in the beautiful Bocage countryside of La Manche. With a boulangerie (bakery) in the nearby village of Beauchamps and a supermarket within easy reach, it is well serviced from a retail perspective. The surrounding area is ideal for walking, trout and sea fishing, painting and photography and the beaches are one of France's best kept secrets, with broad expanses of unspoilt and uncluttered sand. There are a number of golf courses within easy reach. The cottage has a range of traditional French restaurants close by, at least 2 which offer food cooked over a wood fire. Additionally, the area has a multitude of other dining options, many of which showcase the local delicacies of locally reared meats and locally caught fresh seafood, including some of the finest mussels and oysters you will ever experience. The cottage is ideal for those seeking a quiet, rural location with easy access to all that Normandy has to offer. With any luck you may also get to see our resident red squirrel.More

Just returned from our third visit to Marion Cottage. Same warm welcome from fabulous hosts Kim and Ian. Marion Cottage is very well equipped and located ideally for a peaceful relaxing holiday yet a short drive to the beach near Brehal. Booked our fourth visit already.

We have just returned from a delightful two week stay at Marion's Cottage set in the rolling rural Normandy countryside about 10 miles East of Granville. The cottage is about a two hour drive from Cherbourg, 20 minutes from Granville where there is a well stocked supermarket on the main road into town and 10 minutes from the pretty little town of Villedieu Les Poelles (park near the swimming pool on Bourg de L'abbesse) where there is a local market every Tuesday morning. We ate at the Pusssoir Fidellie one lunch time, which was very pleasant. About a two minute drive from Marion's Cottage was The Moulin where we received a warm welcome. Although there was no seafood on the menu there was something for everyones' taste all cooked on an open fire grill. The steaks and chops were a tour de force and the creme brulee sublime. Marion's Cottage is constructed with stone ensuring coolness in perhaps an unseasonably hot spell. The first floor housed two bedrooms, one double bed and two singles. The ground floor consisted of an open plan lounge, dining and well appointed kitchen area. Also on the ground floor is an imaculate bathroom with wash basin, toilet, shower and washing machine. The cottage is decorated to a high standard. Outside there is a large patio, dining furniture, gas barbeque and a grass sitting area overlooking surrounding trees and countryside. We saw roe deer, a number of woodpeckers and not forgetting the local inquisitive cows. The owners of the property, Ian and Kim, are English and were on hand with a warm welcome and were always available for help and advice if required. All in all our stay in Marion's Cottage was very pleasurable and we have no reservation in recommending it if you are looking for a tranquil sejourn in the Normandy countryside living 'The French Way'.

A beautiful gite in a wonderful location and immaculately presented. A lovely welcome gift of local cider and cheese awaited us. Two lovely bedrooms and everything you need for a relaxing break. A Webber BBQ and outside furniture means you can relax and make the most of your surroundings. Lovely, Ian and Kim were wonderful and unobtrusive hosts – we will definitely recommend and hope to return.

Set in the heart of Normandy, close to both coasts (D-Day sights are less than an hour, Le Mont St Michel is 45 minutes), an hour from Dinard airport and St Malo port. We are so glad we booked here for a short family break. The cottage is lovely, clean, and has everything you could need for a base to go exploring or to just chill and enjoy the Normandy way of life. Kim and Ian are excellent hosts that provided a warm welcome and were great to access for information on local sights, cuisine and best ways to get around the area. Would not hesitate to book again and suggest anyone looking to visit Normandy and experience some tranquility and relaxation, look no further than here. Far exceeded our expectations! Many thanks

Lovely presented cottage. Well equipped. Even has WiFi much appreciated by our teenage son. Set in a beautiful location enjoyed sitting out on an evening with a glass of wine for a barbeque. Perfect base for visiting all the sights of Normandy. Will definitely be back again.

This is a beautifully located cottage tucked away in a rural location. The gite is cleaned to a very high standard and really well equipped. The owners are friendly and on hand when needed to give really helpful advice about the area. The area itself has lots of coastal walks and is close to Mont St Michel which is a must!
