I stayed in this charming villietta with my parents, brother, husband and our two children. We were delighted when we first entered the building. It was very traditionally Italian with the furniture and tiled floors. All the rooms were spacious and had high ceilings. The place was very clean. The beds were comfortble and all bedding was provided and clean. We did have a few issues during our stay. It was very cold and we would have liked the heating on in the evenings as it says in the villettas specification that there is heating but we were told several times that we could not have it on as people do not have their heating on in April in Italy (although when we visited family near by they had their heating on!) we tried to put the heating on but could not, so just had to do what we were told, and put another jumper on!!! I do not think the heating works in this property. It was unfortunate that we were the first people to stay int he villetta this season so things were not quite ready when we got there. The Internet connection did not work but that was sorted in a few days. The oven did not work as the gas had not been connected but again that was sorted after a few days, however in the two ovens that are there there was only one shelf so you and to put things on the bottom of the oven which led to then getting burnt. Also the oven did not light properly and only two of the burners on top worked. We were told the tv had not worked in the past and they did not know if it was working but we had a fiddle with it and it worked. The area we stayed was lovely. I would recomend anzio as the shops are good and very local. There are lots of good resturants too. I think this villia would be great to stay in as long as it was warmer (we and three days of rain and were told it was a particularly cold April) and you were not the first people to stay in it that season so all the problems were sorted out.

About the neighbourhood
The coastal area called Lido di Enea in which Lavinio is situated is a popular holiday resort frequented mostly by the inhabitants of the capital and its surroundings. Its geographical proximity makes it a very convenient place to get to. Here you can find many tourist-recreational and protected areas of great value. In the imperial era Lavinio ( Latin name Lavinium) was already a seaside resort popular with families of nobles and patricians. Archaeological excavations have brought to light many ancient villas inhabited permanently for the summer . With the fall of the Roman Empire and the arrival of the dark centuries of the Middle Ages , the town experienced a period of great decline due to the lack of connecting roads to other towns. Compounding the crisis due to this geographical ...
