We had a lovely few days with our young children and dog at the cottage. It’s a great layout with everything you might need, the walks and views are amazing, and we’d recommend to anyone who wants to get away from it all.

First visit to the Gower and Slade Barn was a great base from which to explore this beautiful area. Everywhere was quiet in October which was great for driving around and walking, plus there are some very good pubs and excellent food within easy striking...More

About the neighbourhood
Slade Barn Gower is just a couple of hundred metres from the Gower coast path and the secluded Slade Bay. We also have a series of bridle ways through the centre of Gower. The Beach House restaurant (2 rosettes) is just a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk. There are also several good pubs within 15 minute drive. The world renowned Rhossili Bay (regularly in the World's Top Ten Beaches) is just 15 minutes drive.
Getting around
a car is recommended but there are good train links from London Paddington to Swansea. From there buses regularly come to Oxwich Green a 15 minute walk. Taxis are located outside the train station. Once here walking to pubs restaurants average 20 - 30 minutes. Most supermarkets do home deliveries.

Railway: High Street Swansea: 22.0 km
We are 25 minutes from junction 42 or 30 minutes from junction 47 of the M4. Our postcode can be provided on completion of reservation. There is a bus stop 10-15 minutes walk from the property. This can take you to other beaches to start or end a long walk. Swansea train station is 30 minutes drive away. Hire cars can be arranged near the station. Swansea airport is small but helicopter drop off has been arranged from major London airports.
