Superb apartment
Stunning apartment in the middle of the delightful village of Laxey. Exceedingly well equipped with everything you could need for a stay on the Isle of Man. Elegantly maintained and very comfortable. Very sweet little touches such as a bowl of muffins and donuts were a unexpected surprise!
Laxey itself is perfectly located with excellent public transport links and several local attractions.

Lovely accomodation, a true home from home.
Claire has done a wonderful job in making the Salmon River Appt. as comfortable and well stocked as possible, six of us chose to stay here as base for the Raad Ny Foillan, after a long days walking knowing there would comfy and well equipped apartment certainly helped relax the limbs for the next days adventure.
There is even a first class drying room (we didn't need it, thankfully) but would have been perfect, if we had.
I really can't fault this property from the ever so welcoming welcome pack, pretty much all you needed for day one breakfast through to evening meal, with the added bonus of a large selection of cakes just to help you settle....
The local convenience store is only 200 meters away for any restock needed
All in all a wonderful stay on a wonderful island.

Absolutely brilliant apartment with a real home feel
This apartment is in a fantastic village location, with local attractions nearby worth a visit. The village also has a great little co-op and post office etc, along with a lovely tea shop above the woollen mill.
The apartment is finished to a superb finish, with lots of homely extras. The facilities are to an excellent standard and we have never had such a beautiful thought out welcome pack, including some lovely cakes.
It is so good we have booked to return next year and the owner is extremely helpful.

Half Term Holiday
Claire was a very welcome sight after a late arrival due to a much delayed ferry, kindly waiting for us to arrive. There was a lovely welcome pack to welcome us to the Hayloft. The flat itself was lovely, clean, light, airy and very comfortable. It was very handy for the tram and bus stops and the Laxey Wheele 9well worth of visit). All in all highly recommended.

Perfect
Six of us spent five nights here at the beginning of October and we are so glad we picked Salmon River in the Hayloft.
Laxey is the nicest place we found on the island and the apartment is close to the centre and next to a river. Despite being a small village it is well connected with a main station on the Electric Railway and regular bus service to Douglas and Ramsay.
Snaefell mountain is nearby and we enjoyed catching the tram to the top and walking down via the disused mine. Great fun and very interesting.
The apartment itself has been recently decorated and is very well specified. Claire, the owner, left a very generous welcome pack of food which we were able to top up from a nearby Co-op.
Very highly recommended.

Superb apartment in a lovely location!
The Hayloft was beautifully clean and well equipped, in a quiet location next to the river in Laxey. Our warm and friendly welcome from Claire and Phil was much appreciated, as was the 'welcome pack' of goodies and the arrangements made for our early morning arrival from the ferry. Everything we could wish for was provided and we took full advantage of the cooking and laundry facilities, and even the barbeque, ping-pong table and outdoor games!
Blessed with good weather all week, we used the Go Explore cards we bought from IoM Transport to hop on and off trains, trams and buses to our heart's content; these were really good value for money. It was lovely to make our way back to the comfort of The Hayloft after busy and tiring days, and to be able to relax in such beautiful surroundings. The excellent 'Mona Lisa' Italian restaurant in Laxey was an added bonus, being within a leisurely stroll from Salmon River Apts.
Obviously not the cheapest self-catering accommodation on IoM, but for four of us - with three bedrooms - it was well worth the money. Highly recommended!

Fabulous accomodation, everything you need and a great welcome pack
Great quality accomodation with all you need for a fabuloas stay. Loads of mod cons and very close to Laxey elecrtic tram station. AEvery bit as good as it looks in the pictures.

Great for families.
Had a lovely week with our family in The Hayloft, a very clean, bright and comfortable apartment. Claire has gone the extra mile to ensure holidaymakers want for nothing. The fixtures and fittings are of a very high standard, and the Welcome pack was thoughtfully put together, including treats for the children. The property is situated in a peaceful setting but within walking distance of the attractions and amenities of Laxey.

Laxey is a beautiful village steeped in History situated on the east coast of the Isle of Man. Once a Mining Village and popular victorian hotspot there is plenty to see and do. As well as a truly unspoilt beach and harbour, Laxey boasts idyllic glens, a vibrant village with boutique shops, an abundance of pubs and eateries, a miniature steam train, a tram station, a mountain railway and the Largest working water wheel in the world. Not bad for a village that is only a couple of kms across.
