"We had seen Noosa Sound cottage from cruising on the river and decided it looked a delightful place to stay, We looked it up on the internet and very much liked what we saw and booked it for a week's holiday. Well our breath was quite taken away when we actually arrived and saw how beautiful it actually was from the moment we crossed the private bridge that led to the cottage, we passed the family of swans resting on their nest at the edge of the inner mooring. Noosa Sound cottage lived up to and surpassed my dreams, it was absolutely immaculate, cosy and comfortable, every room was filled with everything you would ever need and more. My words to my husband were “I think I've died and gone to heaven” The views from the large patio windows took in the beauty of the gardens leading down to the river, where many happy hours were spent catching fish by my husband. We spent a very relaxing time enjoying the lovely garden which was so well maintained, we enjoyed many happy lunches & drinks reading, relaxing and soaking up the lovely tranquillity. We watched with interest the family of swans going about the daily activities with the signets growing bigger each day. We enjoyed walking into the village and getting our daily fresh rolls cold meats and provisions from the array of wonderful local shops, stopping on our way for a drink or two at the village pub (New Inn) before heading back to our cottage. I don't think you could ask for more, the setting, the comfort, the sheer beauty of the cottage and its large gardens, the relaxing atmosphere, wildlife and of course the fishing." Peaceful break in brilliant location
First class accommodation in a great location that was well presented and spotlessly clean throughout. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Large well kept garden to chill out in by the river, this was my fourth stay and looking forward to returning soon. If you are looking for a relaxing break, this is for you.

Magical
We had such a lovely stay at Noosa Sound that we were really sad to leave. It is a magical place to de-stress. The house was great and suited us well. The abundant local wildlife was a particular treat. We barely noticed the mixed weather, as there was still plenty to see even on wet days. Communication with Val, the owner, was delightful. We really appreciated the thoughtful welcome gifts and provisions. The location worked well for us with not just the Broads on our doorstep but a short drive both to historic Norwich and the Norfolk coast. We're intending to return very soon.

Amazing as always.
Just adore this place. We keep coming back. Property is amazing with everything you could want and so comfy. Views over the river amazing. All the seams and geese with babies. Kingfisher was very busy up and down the river. Always our favourite place to come too.

Relax by the river
So we returned in may for our fourth or fifth visit. The walk across the board walk empties the stress box with each step. The setting is perfect. The atmosphere is one of pure tranquility with water and nature all around, you reconnect with what’s important in life. The welcome goodies tailored to our needs make the visit feel more like coming home than going away. The wildlife is wonderful. The kingfisher and its young flitting in and out of the water is mesmerising. The eateries in the village weren’t so great this time but we ventured out a few minutes more and found the Recruiting Sargeant in Coltishal to serve wonderful food and the Black Barn in Salhouse serves a huge tasty breakfast. The jacket spuds at the take away hatch in horning are the best you’ll eat. But if you’re happy to stay home and cook yourself the kitchen is ideal and alfresco dining on the new deck is highly recommended. We always return home rested and soothed if not a little sad.

This property is always our well deserved break. I love the back to nature effect shared breakfast with ducks and herons and different types of birds. The property is amazing and has everything you need for that perfect break. Our little piece of heaven. Would recommend this to anyone that likes the peace and quiet.

Wonderful, caring peace in a fabulous setting.
Can you imagine waking up to that Canadian goose coming to say Good Morning? Or sitting on that peaceful terrace watching boats go up and down the river? Another wonderful week in Noosa Sound. Already thinking about our next visit.

A peaceful getaway.
A wonderful place to stay. Perfect for kayaking. A great place to relax, watch wildlife and the world go by. Lovely garden for sitting in but also views of the river from the living room if the weather is not so good. Very comfy bed.

A lovely Christmas break
A very welcomed pre Christmas break at Noosa Sound. We always enjoy our stay at Noosa as it is the perfect place to hunker down even in torrential rain! The Gunton Arms is a fabulous gastropub which is a great place to be next to the roaring fire. When the rain stopped you are spoilt for choice with local walks on the door step. Would highly recommend Noosa for tranquility whilst being very well located to all areas of Norfolk.
