Cottage
Oxen Cottage is a ground floor cottage set in picturesque rural setting over looking beautiful Worcestershire countryside. The cottage is cosy and comfortably furnished with the original beams exposed giving a spacious feeling throughout the cottage. There is a garden to the rear with a patio area and a bbq to enjoy those warm summer evenings! There are two bedrooms in each cottage and Oxen sleeps 4 people with plenty of room for a cot. For larger groups to take both cottages works really well and sleeps a total of 7 people. There is always the Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast across the courtyard if you need extra rooms, ideal for weddings and family get - togethers. There is a tennis court for you to enjoy for the more energetic and plenty of lovely walks around Chaddesley Corbett. Mrs
We stayed here for a week as my brother was getting married close by. The cottage was spotlessly clean and fully equipped for all our needs including a wonderful welcome basket on arrival with a delicious home made chocolate cake . It's in a beautiful location and there are plenty of things to do close by. I would highly recommend going to the safari park and warwick castle. We played a lot of tennis on the tennis court while we were here and had a wonderful time.

Oxen cottage
Amazing cottage with a warm welcome from Helen and dog Billy who soon made friends with our dog Darcy. Wonderful welcome gifts, everything we needed for a weeks stay in a comfortable cottage. Close to nearby relatives who were camping and beautiful surroundings. We had a good holiday and would highly recommend the cottage. Thanks

Bromsgrove stay
We stayed in Oxen cottage at the Durance Holliday Cottages for 10 days . It was home away from home! The cottage was well equipped , spotlessly clean, fresh flowers in vases , and a basket of food , including a beautiful chocolate cake was left on the kitchen table for us . We enjoyed the country atmosphere but we're only a short drive from town. We would definitely stay there again !!

100% Rating. Excellent!!
We stayed in Oxen cottage from 2 Aug to 6 Aug. The cottage is ideally situated in the Midlands for visits to Birmingham and even down to Malvern. (For those who do not like driving much, Bromsgrove station is about 10 mins away and a trip by train into Birmingham takes about 25 mins.) Well equipped and modern. French doors leading into the garden and seeing that the weather was good we thoroughly enjoyed being outside. Billy the Border Terrier was a welcome visitor and had romps on the lawn with our dogs. The welcome pack supplied was brilliant. Everything one would need including fresh farm eggs and a yummy, home baked chocolate cake! All the rooms are a good size and the bed very comfortable. TV worked well and it was good to have wifi access. A big thank you to Helen for her attention to detail and a lovely cottage.

Perfect
Excellent accommodation in a perfect location where you can experience the beauty of the Worcestershire countryside whilst being within easy reach of Worcester, Birmingham and Bromsgrove. Moved to Scotland from south Birmingham in 2013 and this was the ideal place to stay over the festive season where we could see family and old friends and prepare Christmas lunch! Thank you Helen.

Perfect base
The Durrance is located in beautiful countryside, about 10 minutes drive out of Bromsgrove, and is convenient for motorway access. It therefore makes a great base for exploring the West Midlands. Aside from the farmhouse there two cottages for rent. We've stayed in Oxen Cottage twice now, bringing our two small children. Pretty much everything you could want is provided in the cottage (Washer, dryer, cooker, microwave, fridge, TV, WiFi, even board games and toys for a rainy day). It really is a home away from home - and Helen is a perfect host, making sure everything is in place.

Even Better!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly this will be our last visit to Oxen Cottage as we are relocating back to England in March and will be living in Gloucestershire. Oxen Cottage has been our 'home from home' since Christmas 2006. It is warm, comfortable and superbly equipped. However, Helen has refitted both the kitchen and bathroom. There is now a full-sized fridge/freezer and a new cooker with ceramic hob. The bath has been removed and replaced with a large walk-in shower. This means that Oxen Cottage is even better. We do hope others gain as much pleasure as we did from our stays at 'The Durrance'. It is excellent.

Superb base for Heart of England
Stayed at Oxen Cottage over Christmas and New Year period. How lovely when we arrived to find not only an excellent 'Welcome Pack', including farm eggs, but a beautifully-decorated real Christmas tree complete with lights! Oxen Cottage is homely and extremely well-equipped. The superking-size bed is wonderfully comfortable and there are ample coathangers, mugs, glasses and little touches that make self-catering so much easier. The shower is powerful and the whole cottage is warm and cosy with exposed beams from the original cow shed. The shared washing machine and tumble dryer in the Boiler Room were much appreciated. We loved it so much we'll be back in August!

Peaceful, clean, beautifully kept & furnished... Excellent overall!!
Staying at Oxen Cottage with husband, two children (8 and 11) and our dog having sold our house and waiting to move... so an interim measure between homes. Oxen Cottage is absolutely perfect... enough space (even though we've had to bring stacks of our own stuff with us). It's peaceful and in a gorgeous location. There's everything we need to make it feel home... all mod cons available so I can still 'work from home'. It's beautifully kept, very well tended and the furnishings are excellent. The beds are comfy and good quality which is so important! Just a shame we couldn't book this for the entire 2 months that we need accommodation as it was already booked out. Not surprisingly! If you're interested in visiting worcestershire/Birmingham.... well worth staying here.
