To the side is a private lawned area with seating and a barbecue available. This is four star AA quality assessed accommodation. Ideal for walking and cycling holidays we are on the national 68& 72 cycle route. Melkridge is a small friendly Hamlet approx. 2 miles outside Haltwhistle .The Coach House is set in a courtyard behind the owners property and opposite the Old Brewery Cottage . Shops, pubs, takeaways etc. are available in Haltwhistle approx. 2 miles away. We are approx. 2 miles away from Hadrian's Wall . We are on the 68 & 72 cycle routes.
Getting around
The 685 bus runs through Melkridge it runs from Carlisle to Newcastle passing through Brampton, Haltwhistle, Haydon Bridge, Hexham, Corbridge etc. The bus stop is approx. 100yds from the cottage. There is a train station in Haltwhistle again running from Carlisle to Newcastle.

From the West (M6) take the A69 just past Haltwhistle you will see a Static speed camera on your right take this turning sign posted Melkridge at the junction turn left approx. 100 mtrs. on left turn onto a gravel drive and you will see the Coach House in front of you continue round into the courtyard to park.
From the East (A1) take the A69 towards Haltwhistle about 2 miles before Haltwhistle you will see a Static speed camera on the left and a sign for Melkridge turn in here at the junction turn left and approx. 100 mtrs on left turn onto a gravel drive the Coach House is in front of you, continue round into the courtyard to park.

There is a train station at Haltwhistle , and the 685 bus stops about 100 meters from the Coach House.
