That the place provided everything one could possibly desire .
This is a most comfortable and beautiful place to stay. The coach house is beautifully converted, every attention given to comfort, the surroundings extremely beautiful, the local area full of interest, especially the lovely little town of Haltwhistle and the country of Hadrian's wall to the north. Jacqueline is an excellent host. Thoroughly recommended.

What a fabulous place to stay
We had a wonderful welcome from Jacqueline, Ronnie and, of course, Natasha who invited us to the village bbq. There was also cakes waiting for us - so good I took one home! The Old Brewery Coach House is ideally located for all sorts of adventures. And the best bit was making Rupert (dog) so welcome too. Thank you.

Outstanding
My wife Heather and I Booked the Old Brewery Coach House for a weeks break as it was my Birthday. What a great place it was too. My wife and I always bring everything with us like milk butter etc when we stay in a cottage but When we arrived we couldn't believe what they supply for your needs, they have everything you will need for your stay, milk, butter, eggs, sugar coffee tea, even a home made fruit cake and scones. Jaqueline and Ron are two of the nicest people and hosts you would ever want to meet and we felt so much at home our little chihuahua dog Henry had such fun looking around the wonderful garden and orchard and even said hello to the chickens she keeps. If you don't want to cook every day you can even order a cooked breakfast from Jaqueline or one of her excellent pies as she is an excellent baker too, this is so unique as I have never stayed in a cottage or rented accommodation that does this sort of thing. We can't praise it enough. Mr & Mrs Reidy.

Almost perfect
Great location- peaceful and quiet. Small but cosy accomodation containing everything you could need. Wonderful warm welcome and the welcome pack was superb- fresh milk and eggs in the fridge, fruit basket, chocolates, wine, homemade cake and scones. Nothing was too much trouble. This is the first rental we have stayed at where I felt that I had taken all those things you might need like clingfilm, kitchen roll etc only to find I didn't need them - the owners have simply thought of everything you might need. The added advantage of being dog friendly at no extra cost and rental is reasonable. Easy to venture out from here to eat and to explore the local scenery We will certainly return - ironic as this was an alternative to our original plans to go to the Lake District!

Thank you to you both for our lovey weekend. You thought of everything. We loved your home-made scones, and all the other little treats for when we arrived. The accommodation is lovely a home from home. The stars at night are amazing. I could go on and on. Great place to stay. X

The Old Brewery Coach House - Melkridge
We had a wonderful two weeks stay in this delightful little cosy cottage. The welcome we received from the owners was exceptional - a welcome bottle of wine, tasty scones with butter & jam. Not forgetting the eggs from their own hens & even a pint of milk was provided. The cottage was like the gift that kept on giving! Everything we could possibly need and more. It was very very cold when we were there but we were warm and toasty thanks to the central heating. I can't praise this little self catering cottage enough. And would definitely recommend it. Oh and Jacqueline provides a home cooked menu to order from - her steak pies are to die for (we even took one home with us!) our daughter agrees with us that it's the best pie we have ever had! If you fancy venturing into this fascinating historic place, this is the ideal place to stay - very accessible to Hadrian's wall etc.

Excellent
What a great cottage. We were greeted at the door and shown into the cottage which I have to say exceeded my expectations. There was everything you need for the stay including fresh scones, cakes and wine along with milk, tea and coffee. As a disabled person, beds are always a problem, not this one, really comfortable, had a good sleep. Overall wonderful owners who really care about guests and make sure that the cottage is top spec. Will be booking again in the near future.
