We had an amazing stay at Sol y Mar. The property is extremely well cared for, comfortable and right on the beach.

We enjoyed our stay for the month of February We had the place to ourselves with all the cooking facilities that were needed a couple of hammocks for the mandatory afternoon siesta If we weren't on the beach most of our time was spent in the Rancho We were able to walk for hours on the beach without ever finding the end either way If you wanted to there is a resort within a 20 min walk that allowed us to use the pool and we had breakfast or lunch there a couple of times Fishing boats come up on the beach with fresh fish and lobster and a vegey truck comes by every couple of days for your fresh vegetables The people of Playa San Diego are really friendly and are willing to help with what ever you need The Eco Lodge just down the beach from us released 78 baby turtles into the ocean one evening which was really cool to watch Keep in mind this is not a 5 star high rise all inclusive resort you are in a 1 room "casita' on the beach that you self cater but the experience is far beyond what you get at a resort We would have no problem returning for another long term stay

I live in Managua and went to Solymar with two friends who were visiting for a weekend. Solymar was amazing. It is very close to the beach and is the perfect place for two or three people for a reasonable cost. I was very impressed and hope to go back soon!

What a great getaway spot with a lovely warm ocean, great company and great walks on the beach. So very close to Managua that it is an easy destination to reach. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to ride horses and walk on the beach and live an easy life style

Sleep to the sound of crashing wavers, wake up to chirping birds - surrounded by beauty, tranquility and breathtaking views, it's a genuinely rejuvenating experience. Loved the warm sun,days of pure leisure, massages on the beach, local flavors, fresh seafood and Bandito Burrito. Truly the most memorable and relaxing vacation. It was a super hit with my boys 11 and 14 - can't wait to be back this December. Can't recommend it enough - it's an experience of a lifetime.

We had a lovely time during our 4 day retreat in Solymar earlier this year! The small house itself consists of only a bedroom and bath but it has an outdoor kitchen/dining/relaxing area that makes for a spacious place to dine, read, and most especially enjoy the beauty of the beach, ocean and ever changing Nicaraguan sky. It is truly a place to get away from it all.
