Ford End Bed and Breakfast is in the traditional North Yorkshire village of Ampleforth, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. We are perfectly located for beautiful walks as well as for delicious meals in one of our two village pubs and cafe. Ford End House lies on the West End of Ampleforth where the beck passes under the road. The Annexe accommodation is set back from the eighteenth-century house, in the former stables. The accommodation is completely self-contained, allowing you to come and go as you please, with your own key to your own front door! The entrance opens into a hall, leading to a double bedroom with TV and breakfast area, and a shower room with underfloor heating. The room is equipped with your DIY breakfast. "Charming as ever. Lovely Annexe
We had just a 1 night stay in the annexe which was lovely, cosy and clean. The photos on the website don't do it justice. Lucy was very welcoming and on site should we need anything. Ampleforth is a lovely village with 2 pubs and a corner shop. Please note both pubs were closed on the Tuesday night so worth checking the website for opening times if planning to eat. However, Lucy recommended the Fairfax Arms in Gilling where we enjoyed a great meal. Dog friendly too!

Wonderful stay
My partner booked this delightful accomadation for a two night stay as a surprise for my 50th birthday. It was well presented and was nice to have our own entrance and have breakfast brought over to us, breakfast was lovely. Lucy is very welcoming and friendly. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area. Sorry its took me so long to get round to doing this review Lucy.

Loved the Annexe
The Annexe is a lovely little bolthole in a stunning village with two lovely pubs, having your own entrance gave us our privacy, everything you needed was there, all toiletries including shampoo and conditioner (rare). Lucy was very friendly and topped up breakfast supplies whilst we were out, the option for a cooked breakfast is great and we thoroughly enjoyed ours, quality produce, perfectly cooked. Without doubt we will book again

Walking Holiday
The accommodation was clean, cosy and delightful. The hostess was gracious, warm and friendly. She gave us a lot of tips about the area. Where to go, where to eat etc. The rooms were tastefully decorated and we felt very much at home. The area has beautiful views and is prime walking country. Will definitely stay there if we are in the area.

Cosy stay
Found on trip advisor while looking for a new year break. After contacting direct got a fast and friendly response from Lucy. The annex is clean, warm and cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. Lucy was very welcoming without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend!

Perfect
We had a great stay at the Annex. We were both taken aback by Ampleforth and the Ryedale area - picture postcard scenes around every corner and a very relaxing vibe. The Annex was just perfect for us and we would definitely recommend it as a great place to stay, particularly for couples. Lucy the owner was very helpful and sorted a transportation problem (of our own making) for us without hesitation, really going above and beyond. Great breakfast and amenities. We couldn't have asked for more.

Walking Holiday
Located in the beautiful village of Ampleforth, the B&B was perfect for us. It was self contained with our own separate entrance. The bedroom cum lounge/dining area was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The bathroom had a shower and was adequately equipped. The landlady was charming and very helpful. All we had to do was ask. We thouroghly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for a couple. We would certainly stay there if we visited the area again.

A little gem
Comfortable and cosy, with private parking. Five minutes from Helmsley. Lucy goes that extra mile to make it special, and nothing seems too much trouble.. Breakfast was delicious. The local pub is great for an evening meal. We stayed over the Christmas break and look forward to returning in the summer. Just brilliant.
