The master bedroom includes a queen bed, private bath, and a private balcony with ocean views, while the guest bedroom has 1 queen bed and a separate bath. The upstairs loft has 2 twin beds with ceiling fan and floor fan to accommodate additional guests. . The house is ideally located within a gated and guarded private residential community, close to restaurants & bars, activities in and around the town of Playa Negra, yet private and secluded at the end of the road. About the neighbourhood

This peaceful fishing village of Playa Negra, still retains its rustic rural charm of Costa Rica from years past. You will not find any ATM’s, gas stations, high rises, large hotels or condos or waiting taxis in Playa Negra. As of yet, roads aren’t paved out here at the beach which helps to keep our little town accessible to tourism activities, while protected from over development. Our rush hour traffic is a herd of cattle crossing the road or a stray pig or the occasional horses wondering the road. The abundance of wildlife, gorgeous ocean views and sunsets, pristine beaches, jungle atmosphere, warm friendly locals, and great food is 'pura vida' at its best.

Getting around

The easiest and most flexible way of traveling while in Costa Rica and to Playa Negra is to rent a car. Roads are generally in good condition and getting better every year. 4WD is recommended during the rainy season, from May to December, because a lot of roads are still uneven and unpaved and you may have to make some river crossing. Renting a car is not necessary if your style is to stay put at your vacation rental and just relax; we can arrange your transportation and excursions. However, it is recommended and renting a car allows you the flexibility to enjoy your vacation just the way you want, explore neighboring beaches, and drive to restaurants at night or other side trips and adventures whenever you feel like it.
