Caserio de Calahonda is a relatively small gated community of 47 apartments in 3 blocks. Situated in the sought after area of Jardines de Calahonda, adjacent to natural parkland, the atmosphere here is distinctly Spanish, with Moorish inspired architecture, pretty gardens, a tranquil courtyard and the scent of blossom in the air. This large luxuriously appointed ground floor apartment enjoys direct access from its spacious private terrace to a delightful pool. Indoors, the king sized master bedroom leads to a full ensuite bathroom and the double and twin rooms share a shower room with walk in over-sized shower. All bedrooms have mirror fronted wardrobes with plenty of hanging space. A bassinet suitable for baby under 6 months of age is available (on request) and there is also a highchair, (both complimentary). Cot rental is also available at extra cost. There is a television in the living room, (IPTV with many English language channels), together with DVD player and entertainment centre with docking station. A selection of DVDs and CDs is on hand, as well as a choice of books and games. There is also a community library where you can browse through the large selection of books or borrow a DVD. There is a safe in the master bedroom and wi-fi is available at no extra charge. There is air conditioning/heating throughout. The fully fitted kitchen offers all mod cons and leads to the rear utility terrace, housing a washing machine. In this wonderful climate al fresco dining is the norm and the terrace dining table will comfortably accommodate 6 people. There is a further suite where you can relax on the terrace with a pot of coffee or jug of sangria or you may prefer to lie back on a lounger and soak up the sun, (beach towels supplied). The terrace is partly covered and at any time of day offers a choice of sun or shade. This is the ideal place to enjoy a relaxing pool or beach holiday but due to its location mid way between Fuengirola and Marbella, Calahonda is also a perfect base for sightseeing and for visiting many wonderful locations in Andalucia and Southern Spain. The Costa del Sol is a great choice for golf enthusiasts and the nearest courses are just minutes away from the apartment. From autumn right through to April visitors can even combine sun and snow as the ski slopes of Sierra Nevada are only two hours away. The apartment is a great choice for those who choose not to hire a car as all local amenities are within walking distance, public transport is cheap and reliable and bus stops for Marbella and Fuengirola are within easy reach. The apartment complies with all local laws and was granted a Tourist Rental Licence in 2016, having been visited by an Inspector from the Department of Tourism, who deemed the standard of accommodation 'extremely impressive'. I am always available to answer your queries or help in any way I can (by email) and I'll send information and instructions prior to your holiday. Paul, my Property Manager, will be at the apartment to meet and greet you and collect the keys from you prior to departure. He will usually drop by to see how you're getting on during your stay but in the event of an emergency concerning the apartment you'll be able to contact him 24/7. There are lots of brochures in the apartment as well as an Apartment Guide which should help you get orientated.

This lovely apartment is located in a quiet residential area with bars, a good selection of restaurants, local supermarket and beaches all very close by. One of the local beaches is on the edge of a pretty nature reserve with unspoilt views of the coastline....More

About the neighbourhood
The area is served by Malaga airport, which is about 30 minutes drive from Calahonda. The main road is an excellent dual carriageway. Calahonda is approximately 14 Kilometres from Fuengirola and 16 Kilometres from Marbella and although a car would be useful it is not essential to hire one as buses run every half hour to these towns, and are cheap and reliable. The local beach is a pleasant 10 minute stroll. Calahonda has numerous restaurants, bars and supermarkets and there are many attractions for all the family, including water parks, theme parks, riding stables, zoos, golf and water sports, all within a short drive.
How to get there
Monarch, Easyjet, Norwegian, Ryanair, Thomson and British Airways are some of the airlines offering economy fares to Malaga. Taxis from Malaga Airport cost approx 100 euros return. There is also an excellent and very inexpensive train service from Malaga to Fuengirola, from where a taxi to Caserio will cost about 25 euros and a bus to Calahonda will cost less than 2 euros.
