We swim, fish and kayak from the house, in a genuinely wilderness like setting. Watch your kids on the fishing kyaks from your deck, then take the kyaks down river for some serious fishing. Five minutes to the amazing choice of restaurants along the Noosa river (Noosaville), 15 minutes to ultra chic Hastings Street shopping and Noosa's renowned, sun drenched, main beach and surfing. Kangaroos, kookaburras, water monitors and bush turkeys are resident in the adjacent national park (but please don't feed the friendly birds!). Day trip to Fraser Island in massive 4WD buses, take the fast launch up the river to the Noosa everglades, visit Aussie World, UnderWater World and internationally-renowned Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast. We provide two fishing kyaks, stand up paddles and life jackets for guests to lose themselves in the peaceful wilderness atmosphere of the river. Our guests tell us that this home-in-the-bush brings vivid life to the internationally renowned Noosa experience as parents unwind in an international setting while children discover the Australian bush. A bright modern studio apartment with a large deck overlooking a meandering creek is also available.

Blissful
We stayed 3 nights over queens birthday long weekend. Had a wonderful time enjoying the many variety of birds, kangaroos and fishing right on your doorstep. Didn’t get a chance to use the open fire. But encourage everyone to do so. Kitchen and living area was great but the deck was awesome. 5min drive to woolies and another 10-15mins if go to Noosaville. Whole family and pups enjoyed it. Will be back again in the future.

Absolutely stunning
We stayed here for a short break..2 nights and were totally awed by the location and the serene surroundings. Nothing is too far from here and Carolyn was very helpful. I would love to go there again any day.

Riverfront glory
We loved this place. The setting is very special and rural though not far from all services and Noosa Heads National Park. We kayaked most days exploring the river and enjoying abundant birdlife. The house is comfortable, clean and well-appointed. We spent a lot of time on the great back porch. We stay there again for sure!

setting was peaceful however the accommodation was old and not comfortable.
The setting of the house was very peaceful, on the river with plenty of birdlife. However, the accommodation was less than ideal. We were disappointing that the advertised firplace, something we were looking forward to sitting by on the chilly winter nights, was not in working order and could not be used. The cleanliness of the house was poor, old cooking equipment had remnants of past meals still stuck to it (e.g. what looked like scramble egg and cooking oil still on frypan and bits stuck to saucepans). The electric orange juicer, when finally located (our fault couldn't see for looking), turned out not to be in working order anyway. Everything appeared old and tired except the gas stove which was a gem. The house smelt musty and fortunately one of us brought an oil diffuser which freshened it up somewhat. The stucco walls everywhere were in need of paint and not an hygienic cover for walls surrounding toilets. The master ensuite walls beside the toilet were particularly disgusting. The small master walk in robe was unusable because of the overpowering use of what smelled like naphthalene flakes the smell of which could not be dispersed and seeped into any clothes hung there. The airconditioning vents looked as though they had not been cleaned or maintained for years and heated spaces unevenly. Furniture was sparse indoors: a desk with no chair, uncomfortable couches and short single beds in one room suitable for children not adults. The master bed was large, however, it had some sort of sheepskin underlay which didn't fit properly and kept getting scrunched up through the night becoming quite uncomfortable by morning. There were fittings for a TV in the master bedroom however there was in fact only one TV in the lounge. The furniture on the deck was better appointed and the deck itself was lovely. The property was not as private as advertised as there was another rented house right beside this one and people walking their dogs beside the master bedroom window in the early mornings. For what was offered the price was too expensive however, I can see the appeal for a family with tomboy kids and scruffy dogs to have a ball and not worry about damaging anything.

Many thanks for your comments and we have called a painter in to address your issues. We agree that the house is more suited for families and couples wanting a bush experience on the river near Noosa rather than a group cooking weekend, and note that you did not avail of the four kyaks, explore the river wilderness down to the lake, or use the fishing gear. Reflecting this, maybe the house was not the ideal fit for your party, although you did not raise any concerns at all at the times I called by! In regard to value we are really confident that, based on very high occupancy, repeat bookings and excellent reviews, we are providing a valued holiday opportunity in a pristine location. We would be delighted to fully refund the accommodation payment to us if you can identify any better value large three bedroom air conditioned house in the bush, with absolute river frontage and so close to Noosa’s attractions.

Noosa on our terms
Had a great time last week with the family (3 boys ages 8-11) at this off-the-beaten-track getaway. Getting away from urban crowds was high on our priority list, and this place fit the bill. We had no real complaints about the house (the bathroom sink off the main bedroom is really small, but that's pretty easy to deal with), but what really made the place for us was the location. We were close enough to Noosa Heads to take advantage of the beach when we wanted it, but could get away when we wanted to be alone. We rented some SUPs (delivered to the house!) and spent some fantastic mornings and evenings paddling up and down the river. And it was a quick an easy drive to the Noosa River with good choices of restaurants and activities for the whole family. One great feature of the house to call out is the the large outdoor patio/balcony. It was great to eat our breakfasts and dinners overlooking our own private river and forest.

Serene bush and creek setting to relax
Lovely weekend spent at this holiday house right on the creek with a beautiful large deck to relax with comfortable seating to enjoy the trees and birds and surrounds. The house was large and well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend for people wanting a peaceful get away yet within 10 minutes of restaurants etc when preferred. The 2 kayaks were great fun to enjoy the creek.

Wonderful surroundings and a great place to unwind
Beautiful riverside setting, great for canoeing and fishing. Kids had load of fun. The house was well equipped. Truly a place to get away from it all and to unwind.

Although only five minutes from Noosaville the area is preserved as bushland to protect the environment and limit Noosa's sprawling urban footprint. The house is on four acres fronting a tidal river which flows into Lake Cooroibah. You can take a 'tinny' from the front of the house to Tewantin, Noosaville or Noosa using Noosa's expansive and beautiful waterways (boat hire). Paddling kayaks down the river from the house to the entrance of Lake Cooroibah provides a true wilderness experience (6 kayaks for guests). Guests split their time between swimming/kayaking at the house, dining at the huge choice of restaurants in Hastings Street or on the river at Noosaville, visiting the Sunshine coast theme parks, visiting Fraser Island. for the day
