House Rental
Converted in 2005, this detached period property is located on a country lane in an AONB. Beautiful far-reaching views to the front and a woodland backdrop. Spacious and well-equipped open plan living/dining area with electric ‘wood burner’.There are two private outside seating areas.
Two bedrooms and shower room on the ground floor, and eves master with bathroom upstairs. Plenty of off road private parking.
Excellent location for beaches (15 min. drive), walking, cycling and only 4 miles from Rye. Large independent supermarket, pub and hotel with spa and pool in the village.

Tranquill and Beautifull Surroundings and still central to many sights.
We spent 14 days at the cottage with our two teenagers. It is ideally placed for visits to beautifull cities such as Rye, Hastings and Eastbourne. If you're addicted to Castles Dover, Bodiam, Rye and Hastings among others are nearby. Apart from the cities and castles we visited The White Cliffs of Dover and Beachy Head and went to London. London St. Pancras from Ashford by high speed train only takes 36 min.
The cottage is placed in very tranquill and beautifull surroundings with nice walks and and excellent daily shopping store only 1 km away at Jempsons.
It was a delight everyday to return to these surroundings and relax after a day of sightseing as well as to use some energy on walks and tennis.
At last I must mention our kind hosts. We felt vey velcome and we made good use of the advice they gave us about where, when and what to shop and visit.

Perfect cottage in great location!
Very well equipped, comfortable cottage in perfect location for exploring East Sussex and Kent. Ample parking was a real bonus for us. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. Great Dixter house and gardens, Bodiam Castle, Batemans and Chartwell all well worth a visit. Will be recommending this cottage to family and friends!

About the neighbourhood
There are numerous historic buildings and open gardens to visit in the area. Rye, with it's medieval cobbled streets is 4 miles away. The fast train to London (St Pancras) goes from here via Ashford. The Channel Tunnel can be reached in 45 mins by car.
We are lucky enough to have a choice of two beaches nearby-pebbles at Winchelsea and the world renowned Camber sands, both of which are about 20 minutes by car (depending on traffic in high summer).
