Perfect trio of lovely barns ideal for friends or families
A family group with members from 75years down to 15 months we hired the three barns. This enabled privacy and quietness but large barn allowed us to have large family meals and bbq's too. The barns were spotless and well equipped, lovely bedding and soft towels (a rare find) and we were glad of the log burners as it was very cold the week we went The farm is very remote and peaceful but lots of walks and attractions nearby Fiona and her family were friendly and welcoming and my grandchildren loved feeding Truffles the pig and bottle feeding the abandoned lambs I look forward to returning

Lovely, peaceful setting, ideal place to relax with all the family.
We had booked Reynards, Waders and Medlars barns to accommodate family members aged from 7 months to 90 long before covid 19 had been heard of and were delighted that we were able to go ahead with our holiday. Our elderly family members had not seen their grand children and great grand child for 5 long months and we could not have wished for a more ideal place to spend quality time together and create happy memories. Our host was most welcoming, keeping contact to an absolute minimum and the barns were spotlessly clean. The space within the barns and outside in the garden of Reynards meant that we were able to socially distance and not feel anxious about all being together. Rye and Camber Sands were only a short drive away for those family members who wished to enjoy the beach and our son and daughter-in-law celebrated their anniversary with an excellent lunch at the Horse and Cart pub nearby. Our grand daughter was fascinated by all the farm animals and we all loved seeing them too. We all had such a lovely time and look forward to returning next year.

Basic accommodation
My disabled son and his care staff stayed at this basic barn conversion...a lot smaller than the photos depict ... the booking description also did not make it clear that the owner lived right opposite and was often around checking on her guests. She came over when she saw one of the carestaff hoovering their vehicle and asked if it was appropriate for him to be using her hoover for this purpose which he found offensive because she was friendly to the other visitors in the nearby barns. My staff were also charged £5 for firewood which should have been provided as part of the booking cost, facilities were basic 1 bin liner,2 dishwasher tablets...I booked this place based on the reviews and feel they were misleading ... the owner needs to show the same level of courtesy to all visitors that way some might actually rebook again ... but I don’t think we will. Another point to make clear is that the check in time was 3pm and checkout 10am but after payment was taken Fiona said check in was 5pm and checkout was 9am which I said was unreasonable because Tripadvisor information should be clear prior to booking and not changeable after payment ... my son has epilepsy and need to have his medication and food on time after pointing this out she then agreed 3pm check in as per original booking. When my staff arrived they could see the other visitors were already there so it seems they were not restricted to a set arrival time ... not impressed we book cottages all the time but won’t be using Tripadvisor again this was our first and last time.

Thank you for your review, and can I stress we all have our own viewpoint. During Covid we have been asked to comply with many extra duties including additional cleaning and avoiding unnecessary contamination. We have been advised to alter arrival and departure times to allow for the additional cleaning processes and length of time between guests. All the Barns are self catering and we provide the basics to start you off on your holiday, anyone is welcome to contact me should they have any queries about the barn and what is available. The reviews we have are honest and speak for themselves direct from guests that have enjoyed their holiday and in some cases have returned up to 4 times. The guests your refer to had arrived 3 days prior to your son. I am always friendly and respectful to all of our guests and feel saddened at your comments

Reynards barn
I would highly recommend reynards barn to friends and family as a lovely quiet secluded getaway . it is very spacious and bright with great bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen . It is Brilliant for taking your dog along because it has a very secure garden which our Labrador loved !! and you even get a doggy welcome pack. My family and I vey much enjoyed the cake left for us also . There are very comfortable beds and sofas. The whole place was clean and tidy . You can watch the farms pigglets and their small number of cows from your garden which has a good patio with table and chairs. All in all a very nice stay indeed. A big thank you to the owners .

Perfect pet friendly family get away
Perfect for a long weekend with the dog and children. Lots of walks locally, Bodiam Castle walk of 4 miles especially good with a fab pub opposite for a welcome G&T, Camber Sands beach was amazing, miles of sand to stroll along followed by a trip into Rye, well worth a visit. We also did a long walk around Battle, a bit muddy in February but in the drier months it would be perfect. Reynards was very comfortable and clean, lovely welcome pack for both humans and dogs! We visited the local pub and found it to be very welcoming, we just had drinks but the food looked very good and the restaurant was busy.

A great relaxing countryside escape!
Reynards barn is a great relaxing countryside escape, a very large space with all modern appliances and a cosy feel with far reaching views over the fields and woodland. The friendly hosts fiona and kevin have pigs, sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks, cats and dogs, true farm life! At night time you can enjoy all the stars. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Spacious barn conversion in tranquil countryside
This barn conversion is located off a quiet country lane and provides a lovely escape from busy life. It is in easy reach of the coast and many attractions (National Trust properties, Battle etc.) We had a great week exploring the local area. The barn is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped and had everything our young family needed.

A wonderful holiday
Reynards Barn is in a wonderfully peaceful location in the heart of rolling Sussex countryside. However, it is close to amenities of local villages (including a well stocked supermarket), Rye and Hastings are a short car ride away. The Barn itself is extremely spacious with all of the facilities you need. It suited our requirements perfectly for our 2 week holiday (5 adults and 1 child). The enclosed rear garden was a welcome addition and perfect for our Son to play football in every day. Fiona and Kevin are very friendly hosts, available on site if necessary but definitely not over attentive. We will definitely be returning
